womens  basketball....anyone got some info on this game.....I am leaning toward Oklahoma but I dont have enough information to feel confident....

Hey Zeus, I don't have much info either, but I did hit it with UConn earlier today at -20. Something tells me though that this game is going to be closer. My book currently has the spread at 12 pts.  I haven't research many stats yet, but it appears this could be a good matchup. Pitt has been knocking off teams in their home states or with the crowd in their corner recently, so playing Okl in Oklahoma shouldn't faze them that much.

Anyone else have any info on these 2?

Zeus, some info. from ESPN

The Sooners are essentially playing at home; the Panthers will be in their third time zone in about a week. Even more tiring will be trying to keep Courtney and Ashley Paris off the boards.

If the Sooners play as they did in the second half against Georgia Tech, they will be very hard to stop. OU will be the overwhelming crowd favorite, but the Sooners will have to break through the Sweet 16 barrier that stopped them in 2006 and 2007.

Whether the Sooners men win or lose, the crowd that will fill the Ford Center will be loud and boisterous, giving OU's women a bigger advantage in that respect than any of the other top seeds in each region.

The last time OU had that advantage, though, it really didn't take advantage of it. The Sooners fell in the Big 12 tournament semifinals at the building across the street, the Cox Convention Center, to Texas A&M.  The Aggies played so well that the OU fans never really got into that game and crowd impact was more or less neutralized.

Pitt coach Agnus Berenato, ever the optimist, isn't griping about having to play the Sooners 20 minutes from their campus. Admittedly, though, it hasn't been great fun going from Pittsburgh to Seattle (where the Panthers won their first- and second-round games), back to Pittsburgh for classes and then to Oklahoma.

Love the new avatar Troy......thanks for some info....Pitt traveling like that might be a big factor......although they had a 6½-hour cross-country flight and beat two Pacific Northwest teams on a court that proved to be not-so-neutral.......Also...

While Pitt was crisscrossing the country, returning home to attend classes in between trips, the Sooners (30-4) were able to sneak in an extra night in their own beds before switching to a hotel to set up their gameday routine.......

well we got 2 factors going for Oklahoma....they are more rested and Pitt travled cross countryand Oklahoma will have home court advantage .......By Saturday, 9,580 tickets had been sold for the regional held less than a half-hour from Oklahoma's campus. It figures to be a partisan crowd for the Sooners, who ranked fourth in the nation with average attendance of 9,007.

i'm laying the chalk in this 1 it was just like yesterday 1st game favorite and  then 2 dogs finished with a favorite today 1st game favorite then dog dog and now a favorite plus c paris should have a good game i know its not much 2 go on but this play will be very small GL

Thanks Zeus, thought you would like the new avatar. Her name is Mercedes Khani (if I spelled it correctly). She is a fitness model/competitor.

I can't seem to pull the trigger on the spread. My book only offers the spread, no point totals or halves. I was thinking Pitt +12 for some reason, but don't feel real comfortable with it. I've only been taking limited, comfortable bets this week and I slowly increased my roll by almost 1/2. I was 9-1-1 until today.  Ended up 3-2 today, lost both bets on the Louisville game.

ya I had a great begining of the week and doubled my roll and now here at the end I am almost back down to even.....I am looking for a late game to throw some money on.....I think I might take Oklahoma here........What do you think about SAC/PHO?? A lot of people think Phoenix is tired and will play sloppy against the Kings.........It is hard not to take SAC especially because the public is all over Phoenix 84% on the spread -6.5 and 92% on the ML.....

Zeus, haven't been looking at the NBA too much. I've been focusing on CBB. I hit some nice ones recently. Last week, I made 2 solid plays on the Penn State game.

I'm up slightly for the weekend and normally would call it quits there, but I'll go along for the ride on Oklahoma tonight.

East coast here. I probably won't stay up to watch it since I get up at 4:00am to head to work. Maybe I'll watch the start.  I'm over 40 and can't seem to live on a couple hours of sleep anymore.

Man, I can remember those nights in the early 20's, drink all night, get laid, sleep an hour or 2 and then head to work the next day to start it all over again! Can't do that anymore. Oh well !

i took okalhoma i won on purdue first half, and lousville 2-0 with women maybe i will all my money on tthe women ha ha. i like okal to pull away in 2 half , and i took new orleans won on san antonio
