basketball is all about motivation........Like the man picked Iowa today...the Hoosiers were still glowing about the big win at Penn St.....Iowa was a lot more motivated today...playing D and working harder , outrebounding the Hoosiers big time...Cuse is the play....I agree the my Hoosier brother UNC BOL

Ure 100% right, as we learned this weekend with MSU, lol, nice pick by the way, i took MINN in the first half, thanks for getting me off the whole game play, MINN was a no doubt play for me until u convinced me other wise, like to play those type of games first half because emotions will drive a team early but in the end talent takes over

UNC- I am a huge SU fan... call me a homer, but watching GTOWN all year I am not impressed. They have shot above 65% in 4 games. There is no chance they can do this against the length and physical ability of this Cuse squad. They run their offense through Monroe at the top of the key. Look for him at the free throw line all game. He can do damage from there, but will make mistakes against the size and trapping ability of Rautins and Co. The whole difference in this game will be how much foul trouble AO and Disco Rick Jackson get into. First of these 2 and Monroe to get into foul trouble spells the end of the game. I am going to wait until this game drops to 4 or 4.5 and buy the points.

It all comes down to the big men in this game not the 3 ball.

Again I may be a homer but this is a cuse 4 to 7 pt win. And could even roll them even worse

I'm a little shocked with you talking about the important players and Wesley Johnson was'nt even mentioned. And don't take this the wrong way bro but this spread is going to get bigger not smaller as it's already up to -6 now way it comes back down to to that highlighted number you got intheir...

Very solid write-up UNC. Let me play Devil's Advocate a bit...I think this line is pretty sharp so I don't know if I'm playing it, but I'll tell you why I like Georgetown in this situation:

- Slow pace of the game: The last time CUSE played a team that slowed the game down this much was against PITT, and we know what happened in that game (funny thing about that was it was actually played more at CUSE's pace). I sided with CUSE almost all year and truly believe they have Final 4 talent, but if they can't force their opponents to take and miss quick shots in order to get out and transition, the offense gets frustrated. CUSE was able to get MARQ into running with them and it eventually killed the Eagles, who have an ultra-thin bench. If GTOWN keeps this thing around 65 possessions, I don't see how they're not right in the game at the end.

- Size Similarities: CUSE is at their best when they pound the ball inside. This offers them the choice of going hard and getting 2, or letting the D collapse and kicking out for an open 3. With Jackson, Onuaku and even Johnson on the wing, CUSE simply outsizes most teams they play. Not the case here against GTOWN. The biggest height difference is at the 3-spot, but GTOWN plays a lot of zone and it's a tall, thick zone. Hard to penetrate which limits Wes Johnson's game.

- Schedule Differences: Look at what CUSE has faced in the Big East so far. The only decent teams have been PITT and MARQ. Seton Hall away was a decent win. GTOWN has played NOVA, PITT and MARQ on the road, and UCONN at home. I think the Hoyas are more battle tested and like them to at least keep it close down the stretch.

Thing that worries me most about a GTOWN bet is the fact that they have been very turnover-prone at times and I hate betting against teams that are capable of getting red-hot from the perimeter. Still just a lean for me but obviously hate being opposite of you.

just a heads up to anyone going into this game thinking the cuse will not let the hoyas shoot the 3 ball well. in all honesty the cuse defense is the same every year with just different players. last year cuse had harris devendorf and flynn running around the top of the key "preventing the 3's". No real difference in this years D. If anything maybe a little less athletic. Flynn>Triche. Harris>Routins. Johnson>Devendorf. Last year Hoyas go 12-32 from deep shooting 38%. Cuse from deep 8-21 38%. EDGE HOYAS. In their 2nd meeting Hoyas 12-21 57%. Cuse 6-16 37%. EDGE HOYAS. Now 2 years ago 1st meeting. Hoyas 11-25 44%. Cuse 6-21 28%. EDGE HOYAS. 2nd meeting. Hoyas 8 made 3's and Cuse 7. EDGE HOYAS. Im just saying some of you are looking at this backwards. If anything when you are going against a team who is currently red hot the zone HELPS you make shots from the outside due to wide open shots. When you have the best passing big man in the country in Monroe you can play a serious in and out game and have wide open shots all game. Was leaning Cuse last night but right now im not sure. Just cant wait to go to the game

This is all true but to saythis years defence is the same as last year is not true. Yes maybe more athletic, but 5'11 flynn, 6'4 devendorf who didnt even play defence and 6'4 harris on the back end is just not the same as this tears team, not even close
