1. I locked in a couple non-Ivy games for tomorrow already: UConn -6 for an above average sized bet, Maryland +10 (-115), Hofstra ML (-110), and Cal -12 for a small bet. I'm also considering Baylor but won't lock that in tonight. I'll have small writeups for each of these at some point tomorrow.
2. I'll do my writeups for the Saturday night Ivy League games tomorrow afternoon. To be honest, I've yet to process the crazy night tonight, and need to do that before I can put together anything useful. They're a lot of work, so I want to make sure I can put my best into them so that you guys can take something out of them.
3. Feel free to keep the discussion going, as I'd be happy to talk about any of tomorrow's games, Ivy or not, even before I put up the writeups.
Thanks to everyone who participated today. Keep up the great work.

Well here we go: Cornell at Princeton, the biggest game in the Ivy League in at least six years, with the driver's seat for the League's auto bid on the line. Can you feel the excitement? This is what college basketball is all about.
Alright, let's first take a look at Cornell. You might think that they choked yesterday or played like shit, by that would be wrong. Instead, Penn pitched a perfect game in a game that meant sooo much to this program and its climb back to the top. Give them all the credit for what happened yesterday because the kids deserve it. They gave their heart and soul in that game. But what it means for Cornell, I don't think it will hurt them at all tonight. They got beat and they know it. But they're gonna come out focused as ever tonight. This senior-led team has dealt with adversity before, their coach has them In a good place emotionally, and they'll come out focused and ready as ever tonight.
As for Princeton, this is their Super Bowl. After the gift Penn gave them last night, they're now in a position where a win at home against Cornell would put them in the driver's seat to win the league. And this is the first big home game for their program in five years, and there will be some serious energy in the house. They took care of business last night against Columbia, and now it's time for the game the big one. And they won't be lacking for confidence, as they smoked this Cornell team at home last year, so they know they can beat them.
Honestly, Cornell matches up very well with Princeton. When they're on offense, they don't turn it over much and can shoot the three, the two most important things you need to do to beat this really good Princeton D. Princeton's been winning with D, but they'll need to score to win today, because Cornell win get theirs today (I don't think Cornell will go so cold today like they did at Princeton last year). But can Princeton score enough? They can, but between their propensity to turn it over and Cornell's interior D, their only route to enough points is a hell of a three point shooting day.
I trust Cornell's seniors to find a way to win this huge game over Princeton's young team. Princeton will have their day, but Cornell will show up tonight to prove that this is still their league this year. I don't love laying this many points, but I definitely lean Cornell.
What I might do is take them in a ML parlay with Yale. It will probably be -150 to -160, but I may be more comortable laying that than the points. I'll decide later on my play, but do whatever you're most comfortable with.

Forgive me for my excitement, but you have no idea how great it feels for my proud Penn program get back on track. Last night was such an amazing time, but it was sooo emotional. From a capping perspective, that makes this one tonight so tough.
I wasn't joking earlier when I said that Penn gave it's heart and soul last night. That game meant everything to those kids. It was so emotional, in fact, that Penn's leader and point guard Zach Rosen shared a long, teary embrace with his father after the game. After the hellish experience of the Glen Miller regime, these kids incredibly have put it all in the past and come together under Coach Allen in such a short period of time. It's an incredible story, and last night was the emotional cap on turning the page.
How in the hell Penn can rebound from that in one day I have no idea. They gave it everything they had last night, and I'm not sure they have anything left to give. On the other hand, maybe the emotion will carry over into tonight and carry them to victory tonight, but who knows.
Columbia, for its part, lost last night but it was a game they were supposed to lose, and realistically their goal coming into the weeknd was to hopefully get a split, with the Penn game it's primary focus. Nothing that happened in their game last night changes that. And they didn't exert all that much energy playing a slow, half court game against Princeton.
Matchup-wise, Penn's zone that it's been using primarily lately will give fits to a Cornell team that doesn't move the ball that well. But Penn will have to shoot over the top of Columbia's D to put up a lot of points themselves, and who knows if they have the legs to do that tonight, since they're not deep and played so many hard minutes last night.
I'm not gonna play a side because I have NO idea how Penn responds to last night. The Columbia ML may be a sharp value play, but I'm not gonna go against my boys and play that.
However, I'm strongly considering a play on the under. This will be a methodical, quite possibly ugly half court game. Penn's not gonna run at all after killing themselves out there last night, and Columbia will be happy to play at that pace. This may be a play for me. Again, I'll decide later.

Great stuff bro! I really Cornell coming out to make a statement tonight. 5 points does seem a little hefty, but I think they come out on a mission...
As for this Penn team...I can't figure them out. I have watched a couple of their games and their were terrible and last night they looked like a different team.

I don't have as much to say about these last two games, so the writeups will be a decent been shorter, this game in particular.
This game is either Yale or no-play, as far as I'm concerned. Obviously they're the much better team, but even beyond that, this is a great matchup for them. Dartmouth's perimeter D is pretty decent, but they're dreadful inside where Yale gets its points from its big guys and its guards penetrating. And on the other end, Dartmouth will have trouble scoring against this much bigger, longer Yale team because they can't shoot over them. On both ends of the floor, the style matchup favors Yale.
The only question is whether or not I want to lay the points. Like I said, it's Yale or no-play. My hesitation is that Yale is coming off of a devastating overtime loss in a rivalry game. If I had to guess, I think that it's more likely that they come out with a chip on their shoulder looking to pound someone tonight, and lucky for them the inferior, terrible-on-the-road Dartmouth team should oblige. But there's definitely that chance that they come out flat and demoralized after that kind of game.
My final decision will come when I get home in a few hours.

I was incredibly impressed by Harvard last night, where they went on the road and snuck out a really tough win in a tough place to play. They showed a lot of heart and determination gutting that one out and coming back from their tough losses the past two weekends. And on top of that, they got a huge gift when Penn beat Cornell, giving them a second chance to win this league and a huge emotional boost. They should come out inspired tonight looking to take care of business.
On the other hand, Brown had a relatively stress-free victory over Dartmouth last night, while Harvard played a close, hard-fought game that went into overtime on the road and then had to deal with traveling and the fatigue that's associated with that. And on top of that, Harvard's frontline is thinned out considerably to begin with their three injuries. With all of that going on, there is no way I would lay this many points and ask Harvard to try to win by double digits. It's just a lot to do on the road on a Saturday night in this league, especially after the kind of tough game they had last night.
So with me being pulled in opposite directions here, I'm not going to play a side here at all.
Again, though, I am considering an under play in this game. With Harvard's increased emphasis on defense and rebounding following their big injuries, with the slower pace they're playing at, and with the fatigue, they ought to miss their scoring target. And on Brown's end, they rely so much on their outside shooting, and Harvard has some really outstanding perimeter defenders and does a great job against the three ball. All these things make me want to play the under, but we'll see.

OK, that's all for now. I'll be away from a computer for the next few hours, so won't be able to post. I will be able to check this thread from my phone, so feel free to respond and keep the discussion going like yesterday. I'll be back to respond in a few hours, and at that time I'll also post my final plays. Good luck today, all.

Dmon...thoughts on this parlay: Cornell -5, Yale -11.5 and the Penn vs Columbia under? Or a 7 point teaser on all of the above? After your detailed and always thorough write- ups, these were the best bets I came up with....thoughts bro? Word,
