Academics, so he is out. costed me my teaser on Saturday versus a crap ND. Hope no repeat tonight. can not believe new number one is Kansas. saw them here in Nov. losing to Duke in the Maui classic then Duke gets clobbered by Ohio St. after they go back stateside. so many teams like UNC look great then lose to UNLV. CBB is very parity. SYR, Ohio St., KY, Marquette. my gosh even Xavier and VA TECH looks good.
what the hell r u talking about? Kansas is number 5, Kentucky is number 1

you guys are making a really big deal about melo....if he plays they still lose to nd...youre missing twenty minutes a game and 8 points and t rebounds......syracuse will be ok..kilpatrick is a much bigger deal

Stats don't tell the whole story, hes a huge presence at the back end of the 2-3 zone, and if he doesn't block a shot in the paint u bet your ass he changes the shot. Hes syracuses version of anthony davis and you're saying hes not a big deal....

My point being, while his absence may be figured in to the spread, my wager is that Cincy is more uniquely qualified to punish his backups in more and distinct ways than Cooley and ND did.
Public money all over the "pissed off" former No.1 the day after the biggest football day EVER and SYR is only laying 4.5?? Sounds too good to be true.

Syracuse played like shit in notre dame. I do think his absence hurts them defensively but in terms of offensively they just couldn't hit a shot to save their lives and wouldn't have won even if he played.

doesn't matter if Fab Melo is out or not. he's factored into the line. key question is whether Kilpatrick is in or not.
The Bearcats actually seem to play better when they are the underdogs as victories over ranked Pitt, Georgetown, and UConn indicate. Mick and his team just love to be disrespected. They thrive on it, even. So expect UC to come out hungry tonight against Syracuse. At this point, it looks like Kilpatrick will be playing tonight. He won’t be at 100% but that won’t stop him from gutting through the pain. He works too hard outside the court to let a nagging injury bother him. Keep in mind that if the injuries had been worse (i.e. torn groin/fractured hip) you can bet the coaches would sit him without question. The fact that Kilpatrick hasn’t been sent to the hospital or any public statements have been made from Mick or the rest of the staff indicates to me that they are in wait-and-see mode, leaving it up to SK to judge how much pain he is in. That’s the good news but it remains to be see if these lower-body injuries slow him down at all against a very fast Syracuse squad.

the thing that worries me about cinnci is they''ve burned me in past years at the free throw line..and ND has only lost on their home court what once in 2 1/2 years which came to unconn last week????
