He's not playing but his presence/absence will have no effect on this game imo. u know cuse has plenty of talent to make up for him, right?

While Syracuse is extremely deep, I can tell you that his presence is deeply missed. Syracuse is only good because of their depth. Once you lose a Center like him, who rebounds and leads the Big East in blocks during conference play, it is a huge loss. If he does not play for the rest of the season, Syracuse will be on upset very early in March.

doesn't matter if Fab Melo is out or not. he's factored into the line. key question is whether Kilpatrick is in or not.

Jussayin, that Melo didn't play on Saturday either and Cooley of all people for ND had a field day in the paint.

and Syracuse lost as a 9-pt fave.

Academics, so he is out.  costed me my teaser on Saturday versus a crap ND.  Hope no repeat tonight.  can not believe new number one is Kansas.  saw them here in Nov. losing to Duke in the Maui classic then Duke gets clobbered by Ohio St. after they go back stateside.   so many teams like UNC look great then lose to UNLV.  CBB is very parity.  SYR, Ohio St., KY, Marquette.  my gosh even Xavier and VA TECH looks good.

Your joking right?  Without Melo Cuse is a sweet 16 team with him they can be national title good, if you didn't notice they got killed on the glass against Notre Dame without Melo Notre Dame is one of the worst rebounding teams in the Big East(13th in the Big East in rebounding).  It will be even worse against Cincy who has Gates, Jackson, and Mbodj who all can rebound well, there's a big difference in their zone when they have a 7 foot shot blocker in the back, Keita and Christmas can not cut it at the 5.  Cincy wins this one

Melo is not there tonight
However that is not the sole reason they lost Sat
SYR SU shot 34 percent from the floor and 30 percent from 3-point .
sure his presence was missed inside the Irish out-rebounded the Orange 38-25. But Notre Dame committed 17 turnovers, and SYR only scored 11 points off those turnovers.

Melos a huge loss to this team, but kilpatrick if he isn't playing may be an even bigger loss to cincy, either way there's way too many unknowns and this is just a degen game to bet on. If melo was playing id be all overy syracuse but he isn't...
