Nice win for  hofstra today.. Really like uncw at 4 1/2 over college of charleston . Hopefully not looking ahead. Once again , love Keats, uncw coach . Comes at you with waves .deep bench. Hofstra was lucky to come back down 16 at half last month.

On the run, so cannot use this as a money play, but I like the Over at 139 in Yale @ Columbia. Both teams average in the 70s. Their last game was 86-72 Yale. I expect these teams to be going back and forth for supremacy in the Ivy. Both averaging over 70 in the last three. Both Over teams ATS.

That's funny cuz I was wondering yesterday where the 'guy with the Golden Joe' avatar went.

Like I mentioned, Doug and I are buddies (our kids went to school together when he lived out here before CBS shipped him back to NY) and I can tell you he watches lines and he knows people on the benches of MANY teams.  He knows things the public doesn't and when he posts something like that on Twitter, you should pay attention.  Obviously, he isn't 100%, but I posted that for a reason.  He is rarely that purposeful with a pick.

And you're right, the thread is exploding with activity now!

I actually have been on it for a little over a month.. I'm 6-2 with it, or somewhere in that range. I think the last 4 have hit, so I'm staying away today since I figure there's one due to go over. Best of luck if you took it.......play of the Rutgers, I watched 10 mins after taking them large, Minnesota had2 points and looked like a d3 team lol. So for all those who shared that info, Holmey and Scalabrine, cheers

We gotta do better for each other. So today I will post my favorites since I'm all out of $$$ plays for the week going 2-2 (all 4 won, 2 just failed to cover) should have a nice 5 team cross sport parlay. 


I actually did mention taking Atlanta Hawks in the USC_Holmey Friday thread.  Also said take Atlanta team total over 107.5 and Lakers team total under 98.5.  Pushed on those last two, Atlanta ended up scoring exactly 107, mostly due to Lakers offense dogging the court so much, ha ha.

On USC +2', Virginia Tech +6', Air Force +10

Northern Iowa +9' $$$$ Play 

MVC action today. These two teams split the two games they played and I expect Wichita State to win the third one. But it will be close. The Shockers are not covering suddenly and the same happens today. These are the top two teams offensively in conference play. Defensively one and three. Head to head Wichita State holds the edge ATS, but I like UNI has been playing.After the Loyola scare last night, I do expect the Shockers to be more focused. Snapping the big home winning streak at Wichita State was big for Northern Iowa. They keep it close.

@VTDON  Yes it has been a good day so far.  I am tailing the Cal pick , and leaning Evansville over my Sycamores today.  I don't think the Sycamores looked very good last night but Illinois State was just that bad.  North Carolina is a gut play and so is Pepperdine.  

Two goals in two minutes in this hockey  game so not looking good for the under.

Not sure if 2nd Half plays count on this but love Xavier -5.5 for 2nd half. Creighton was up 9 early blew that lead now slowing down. Xavier woke up late In the 1 st half, 3's  starting to fall. Expect Xavier to cover the 10 point spread and win by 8 this half. $$$$ Xavier -5.5 for 2nd Half

That Rutgers pick was epic!  Sadly, I missed out on it though.  My stupid local book does not post college bball picks over night, and I overslept today.  By the time I logged in to look, it was already 2nd half and Rutgers up by 30.  Wowsers.

Not much time to cap today, gotta take care of a bunch of stuff and heading out to the Clippers game with a friend this evening.  I did tail a bunch of plays, thank you all very much in advance.  Win or lose, this has become quite the thread. 

I like the Virginia Tech pick, and not just because they are efficient at home.  Miami and VTech have quite the unofficial rivalry going heading back to their days in the Big East.  VTech usually has the less talented basketball team, yet for various reasons it is rare for Miami to blow them out home or away.  Usually these games are rather close with VTech winning straight up as the dog at home from time to time.  So for me VTech +6 is pretty solid.

Goes without saying I tailed on Cal (got -5 though).  If they come to play, I see ASU wilting by 2nd half.

Playing Georgia Southern +11'  and Fresno State +3 at $$$$ levels

GS will keep this one within a few points. I will take DD points for sure. Two teams pretty much evenly matched and Louisiana Lafayette has lost 5 of 6

Fresno State the better team getting points. They should win SU against Utah State

With that 25-5 run tech just went on i took them -.5 in second half.  Is that a reach or a good bet?

SAT TAR HEELS -1 vs. Duke
Let's face it. Duke is in a catch 22. To beat Carolina they need to run. They can't run because they are only playing 7 deep. If they run, they run out of gas. If they play slow, then Carolina pounds them inside. No way this should be a 1 point spread.
In my opinion, Carolina is 68% or more to win this game and the line sits at basically a pick.
Seems to easy, but I'll bite....UNC -1

A couple of quick points here! First off, nice job USC with the Cal selection -3.5. What I have noticed on this thread is that a ton of value is being to the covers community day in and day out. Players that follow teams are proving to be "sharper" than the Vegas opening lines. Cal currently being -5 is proof of that point. I have only been here a few days, but I have noticed that some pretty good opening lines have been offered here.
On to point #1. I had a discussion with a friend on the UNC/Duke line. My friend had his own sports service in Cal for 11 years and I respect his sports knowledge. On Tuesday of this week, we discussed the Duke vs. Carolina line much like they would, I assume, in Vegas when coming up with opening lines. I predicted a UNC -3 and he predicted UNC -1. We both bet the open last night at -1. We were both correct since the line did open at 1. That's the only fact that scares me on this game as Vegas surely knew opening at 1 would draw only Carolina money. I hope any of you out there took the -1 yesterday, but I see this as an easy cover regardless.
The point of the thread is this....this is the most effective and productive thread I have seen on this site. There is no riff-raff talking about fixes (Dribble, yes you are being called out...but I doubt you would be in this thread.....it's too productive) and VERY LITTLE negative and "I told you so" talk when someone loses a pick.
Nice job USC.

$$$$ Play Columbia +1 

Don't have time for an entire write-up but I am loving this play. Since struggling early in the season Columbia has been playing great basketball. Today they take on Yale in a revenge spot where everything went right for Yale on their home floor. 

Yale had a player in the game set a d1 record for consecutive field goals made. Yale also scored 14 free throws in the last three minutes. Yale shot 61% and 55% from three and had 28 TOTAL free throws in the game. These things will all not happen again resulting in a much closer game. Columbia might be the better team and will be hungry here in a revenge game on their home floor. 

The next thing I see in this game is how Columbia has been an excellent home team this year. They have only one home loss since December 4th and it was an overtime game against a very good Princeton team. Their other two home losses have come by one and two points.

Columbia is the play here with some excellent value. The line is moving and you can get the ML at +100 right now before it moves further. Best of luck!

Yeah these Chinese kids aren't getting killed by police officers because they don't get in trouble and they don't live off the government so the are multiplying, plus there parents love them so they'll never have suffer living through single parenting.
