They are laying points. They don't need to be blown out. If they lose, they don't cover.
The "when have they been blown out" question means nothing in this spot.
You claimed they ahve not played well.
They lost by 3 to ND in a game they were up 5 with 2:55 to play and ended up losing the game in teh last minute. If losing to ND by 3 means you didnt play well.... I'll take that barometer of success all year cause ND is a very good team with senior leadership.
They lost @ WVU.... Not sure if you have ever been to WVU but that stadium is one of the most difficult places to play because of how it is set up. It is unique and not like any other stadium I have been to before (I have been to every BE away stadium in the league except Depaul). They were in the game until the past 2 minutes.
Lost to Marquette in OT in a game that should have never went to OT but they didnt play poorly.
@Lville and @ St. Johns they played poorly and were never in the game.
Where has Gtown shown any signs of life since Wright has went down?? And now they expect them to play a complete game and compete in MSG without their leader and person who has run the offense for 4 years??

Take the over 128.5 and buy the half point, even without right GT has the fire power to score points and UCONN will oblige with a soft zone and will run at every opportunity.

look at how teams who played day one in the Big East tourney, fare against the team who had a bye. How was UCONN playing before they beat the MIGHTY Depaul???? GTown 10-1 ATS last 11 on neutral court. That has something to do with coaching and how team gets prepared.

G-Town is a better all around team, better coached, more scoring options, etc etc etc.. Wright being hurt to me takes the game from G-Town -3 to PK. Getting 3 points is just a bonus
Then why is UConn better in just about every single team statistical category... if Gtown is the better team all around??

I never said they weren't playing well... I said they'd lost 4 of their last 5 before the Depaul scrimmage. While we're on the topic though are you saying not being able to close/finish/win close games is playing well? If they blow this one in the final minutes as they have many others recently they'll lose ATS yet again.
I just don't understand your argument. You're response to they aren't playing well is to point out numerous choke jobs late in games?

They lost to a top 10 team in ND that they should have won.
They lost 3 away games to WVU, Lville and St Johns...
Explain how those 4 losses you are talking about are something to look at and come to the conclusion "they played poorly and lost 4 of 5 to end the season"

Ok, i'll explain it like this.... THEY LOST
everything is else is just details. You either win or lose... simple as that. U Conn had lost 4 of 5 before the Depaul game

no point in doing it anymore. I never even said U Conn can't cover. I said many times in this thread they very well might cover. I just think the combination of Wright being hurt and the blowout win over Depaul has people over-reacting in a big time way. That's all.

I'm taking Uconn not because Wright is out or because Uconn won the previous meeting with Wright (19 pts), but gtown is playing terrible basket last 3 games and Uconn playing not so terrible, both teams can0t loose in first round of the big dance. And i'm not worry about public betting in these game.
agreed has anyone been watching this hoya team live. they looked terrible against my hometown bearcats just on sat. totally out of sync.

Losing to a shit team would be something.
LOSING ON THE ROAD IN THE BIG EAST IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS EVERYNIGHT.
Especially when those teams you lsot to are all tourney teams and St Johns was playing some of th ebest BBall in the country and played against them in MSG where St Johns has taken down 3 top 10 teams this year an is undefeated.
WVU is one of hte most difficult away venues.
Lville played a much better game and UConn was never in it.
You are not puttin gtheir losses in perspective.
If UConn lost to Providence at home then you have a point but they had 3 losses on the road against GOOD teams. UConn is not a great team and neither is Gtown.

I'm on UConn today which was posted this morning. This UConn team matches up very well against Gtown - Long, athletic wings in Lamb & Smith to guard Freeman, and one of the top rebounding teams in the country against a Gtown without any frontcourt depth. In their other matchup this season... UConn really controlled most of the game and I believe they won by 8 WITH Chris Wright in the lineup. Now without him, Gtown lacks depth at the PG position, when UConn is able to go 3 deep there.
Lastly, Gtown has really struggled so far without Wright, most recently getting blown out @ Cincy. I would actually argue that Wright is just as valuable to Gtown as Kemba is to UConn. It's just a very tall task to beat quality opponents without great guard play, especially in March. To me this line should be 5.

G-Town is a better all around team, better coached, more scoring options, etc etc etc.. Wright being hurt to me takes the game from G-Town -3 to PK. Getting 3 points is just a bonus

daviddaman is -50 units in the tennis forum since the new year and continues to get buried with anything he bets. And people try to argue with this guy who is clueless when it comes to winning. SAVE YOUR TIME.

The only reason you started this thread is because you wanted to look like a genius of Gtown won. And you covered yourself by saying that you never said Uconn wouldn't cover. The point you are making is that Chris Wrights absence is factored into the line? NO SHIT. Just another useless thread.

And the only reason I am saying anything is because there are numerous people that look at your threads and are somewhat swayed by what you say. So this useless threads are not needed.
