Biggest market correction since 2008 when the banking scandals and crashes occurred...
I would say this is a buying opportunity...
What will be happening, and this is a very good thing...is that companies are going to realize they can't depend on the China supply chain...for multiple reasons...and they will take steps to have more supply chains here in America...
This will be very good long term for America and the American worker...
Buy low...Sell high...always true...and this is a "Buy Low" opportunity that has not been around for 10 years...
Indeed. Supply chain was already being shopped due to trade deal/tariffs in nearby Asia/more friendly confines. I appreciate your wisdom in highlighting this. I'll add - if retirement is 10+ years away, double down/max the 401k contribution for the foreseeable future...

I spend most of my time here in the investments section, but what I have come to realize is that WMI will never change. He's like a cancer that will never kill you but destroys your quality of life. His lifetime of negativity and hate must have changed his brain chemistry to make his so consistently miserable. Fibonacci sequence is used to determine how many units you wager on any single game, you keep working your way up the sequence after every loss until you win. Once you win you drop two notches down the sequence, so if you just won 13 units you're only betting 5. On a side note, it's nice to see an investment discussion breaking out in a basketball forum. I bought a new Lincoln last month and feel like I paid for a fleet of 6 but only got to drive one home. The reality is that the markets will ALWAYS correct and act temperamental (like WMI), but unlike WMI they will reward patience, for being of strong mind, and for avoiding emotional behaviors out of fear.
This might not be the time to buy or it might be. It doesn't concern me as I know where the markets will be in 2030.

Thanks you FD. It would be great if some of you guys would pop in over in the investments section from time to time. There are a lot of great ideas over there with a ton of real money making opportunities.
As far as cars go, I only bought two new cars on credit and that was when I was in my 20's and 30's. To me, if you are concerned about building wealth, then you should only be driving a car that you can pay cash for unless you are just getting established in life.
The problem is that ALL of the auto makers are now steering car buyers to THEIR most profitable deals by pushing for potential buyers to lease vehicles. Put XXX down and pay only XXX a month is so appealing for the "Keeping up with the Jones's" crowd.
