Lost Long Beach St. Last night. Took a risk knowing the transfers were not playing. Long Beach actually played pretty well and put up 70 points. In the end UCLA shot the ball too well last night and got the close cover. On to tonight, picks below.


12/19 Picks

$500 Northern Iowa +10
Top 2-3 team in the MVC. Returned 4 starters from a year ago, and are only getting better with every game. They have hung with some top teams this year already and will look to rebound from a disappointing loss to Iowa their last time out. UNLV lost its 2nd leading scorer and havnt been as dominant as everyone thought they would be before the year began. UNLV will be a great team, but right now 10 is too many to lay against an experienced Northern Iowa team that has already played and been competitive against better teams than UNLV. 

$500 Dayton -4
You'll be pressed to find a better pg in the A10 than Daytons Kevin Dillard. He showed promise at the end of last year and has proven why the hype was justified coming into this year. He's averaging 15 ppg, along with a little over 4 assist. Hes also surrounded by a solid core of starters. Dayton gets it done at home tonight.

With ya on OK St.  Also on Dayton.  Couldnt pull the trigger on N Iowa, tho I wanted to.  Havent proved they can play w a big dog yet and only second true roadie.  First one they went to OT w a weak Mason team, and UNLV aint a fun place to play...

Did take Texas in what I think is value spot...  I dont think they or UNC are tourney teams this year, which is a lil crazy I know.

Metsox - Northern Iowa only lost to Louisville, and Memphis by 5 each. Two pretty similar teams skill and talent wise to UNLV, I think they stay competitive here.

$1000 Stanford -2 (-115)
Northwestern has is now down one of their best players in Drew Crawford. That 2 of their 5 best players/starters out since the beginning of the year. This team doesn't have a ton of Depth and lives or dies by the three. Missing almost 14ppg from Crawford will be hard to make up. They also lack size in the front court which hurts them rebounding wise. Stanford by 7-10.
