Defensive Efficiency...

I found it interesting that the top 9 teams in DE this year are all in the tourney:

San Diego State

Texas Tech

Houston

Gonzo

VCU

LSU

Tenny

Auburn

St. Peters

Seven more teams in the field are in the top 20 in this category. Apparently defense is what gets you in the dance come March.

 

On the flip side, here's a list of the WORST teams in the tourney with respect to DE:

Michigan

Alabama

Ohio State

Delaware

Purdue

North Carolina

Notre Dame

Gonna be interesting to see how fading the worst defensive teams turns out. It should be a great tourney...wide open, lots of upsets and maybe Cinderella's year.

Was hoping Delaware had a different matchup.  They stepped up the defense for conference tournament.
