Thinking about a degenerate play for shits and giggles, CMU appears to be the better team, probably just gonna flip a coin and hope I wake up with a win. Good luck fellas!

No offense but if that's how you are capping this game, I recommend going to bed and not playing it.
Fullerton is a mess. They lost their best scorer in Garard Anderson and their best shooter in Aaron Thompson. In the spring, their starting point guard, Jacques Streeter transferred to UTEP and their starting center, Bryce Webster decided to quit and play overseas. They have 7 new players and a weak frontline and are afar reach from their recent teams.
CMich is picked to be the top team on their side of the MAC and return 3 starters to go along with their price recruit, Trey Ziegler, who turned down major schools to stay with his Dad at CM.
To me, it's either CM or bedtime.
I could be wrong but that's at least a real analysis of the matchup.

The MAC is definitely a better conference than the Big West and Ziegler is the best recruit in the MAC in years. CMU doens't need to be a power house to beat Fullerton by 6. You can win. A broken watch is correct twice a day but your reasoning above about Fullerton being good in the past and how it's better to take the dog in the late game really defies logic. Good luck. I will be fast asleep by tip off.
