I am concerned we are in the euphoria stage of this market with people waiting on long lists to get their accounts set up. I could certainly see that as a "buying frenzy" with everybody and their brother trying to not miss out on this Crypto rage. These are all typically signs of a pending Crash with all of the novice's that are late to the party losing a lot of cash and then getting scared and taking their losses, which sends the market even further down. This seems to be what happens so often when there is a buying frenzy. Any thoughts?
Also, seems that XRP has total control over their price right now with all of the shares they have to sell. Somebody is getting rich, but what is really driving the market and who really controls your ability to get in and out of this market.....that loss of control really concerns me if you have $100,000 or more in this market and it starts going south. I would really like to join a forum or discussion group just for Crypto's so I can get my head around this a little better. Also, I would consider an Investment Group or CIT (Crypto Investment Trust) similar to a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). I am sure there might be someone already doing this. Maybe Pederson would know.
Pederson thanks for keeping this thread alive and allowing this dialog on Crypto's. Seems there is a lot of interest.

FWIW, IBM crashed and burned today. Strong earnings. Street took it's money and drove the price down about 4.5%. So, while "shovels" is an interesting, albeit convervative take on emerging technology, it's not sure-fire, by any stretch.
I would say for those waiting on the edge of the crypto pool, start the verification process at a minimum. You've nothing to lose. At least you'll be ready to dip your toes, when and if you're ready.

Crypto is here. Now, it's just a matter of wading through some of the noise.
Full disclosure: my retirement money is doing quite well in index funds. I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. But the money I have in coins? Hopefully that'll just fund my post-retirement country club fees.

I believe that $1.50 will be the support line for XRP for the near future. It was very close to the 50-day average when it went down, but I don't expect it to fall much further.
Yes, the circulation amount is high on XRP, but it is still gearing to be the crypto that'll be used by the banking industry. In that sense, it is worth holding a good number of it and wait until the end of this quarter to better gauge the value of this coin. The resistance level, IMO, will be around $2.10 or so come next month.

IBM is NOT heavily invested. They have invested tens of millions into possibly using blockchain and have a beta test with Stellar/XLM, which could become a huge partnership, hwoever saying they are HEAVILY invested is completely misleading. IBM is a mega cap company that does thousands of transactions daily itself and would benefit greatly from using blockchain, hwoever they are not HEAVILY invested. They are HEAVILY invested in AI with billions in money invested there. Tens of millions is a drop in the bucket honestly. I am a buyer of IBM here, after this drop, simply based on value and cash flow, i.e. the dividend, dividend coverage and dividend growth. I won XLM to get the exposure to the blockchain aspect

in2it, the euphoria has passed....pigs get slaughtered and all those people that sprinted to get in and then got in as the rise was occuring and/or the top happened, they all got punched in the face and knocked out...those are the emotional, mal-informed public..... rather, the informed, logical, unemotional beings, such as myself and maybe you, bought, hold, dollar cost average down, trade, etc etc ...do everything except panic....we are still in blockchains infancy and the infancy of trading levels....at this point, it's a matter of researching and diversifying across a few cryptos that most likely will succeed....i.e. ether, xrp, xlm, bitcoin cash, litecoin, etc...create your own basket of those like you would a stock portfolio

better than some, worse than others...I do like the active founder/developer constantly updating program and algorithm and despite selling all of his holdings, so he says, his desire to continually improve it and find application for it.... I'd buy a small position for long term and trade it , as I have done in the past.
not nearly as effective as ether though....or xrp....or the copycat of xrp xlm

i love kraken now...it is so freaking fast now...absolutely night and day compared to before....yes, the 3 days down was unnerving and frustrating, however whatever update they did really worked...no ore lag time, no more order issues, no more cancelled orders when placed correctly, no more wondering if an order exercised for minutes, no more loading issues, etc etc etc....it's fantastic now.

Love the fact that it takes you to the TradingView charts with a click of a button too. Much, much better now. They only need to add a few more altcoins.
