what is BTC and how much is it? So basically i make an account on gemini. get verified etc etc. once everything is cleared i buy btc? then i transfer another exchange like binance? assuming i need to sign up for binance aswell? then i trade the btc i purchsed into xrp? sorry i am new to this and a bit confused. thank you in advance for the help guys.

BTC is Bitcoin. I'ts around $16k at the moment. Only buy what you're comfortable losing. It's much riskier than stocks and much more volatile. You need to be prepared for 30%-40% fluctuations on any given day.

Just to give you an idea, Ripple is down almost 35% from yesterdays high. This is a good time to get in imo.

BTC = Bitcoin, price varies upon market condition.

Gemini takes awhile to verify, I would use coinbase, fast verification process.

Binance, you can can trade with limited deposit/withdrawal without verification upon initial registration.

Can you trade XRP on Coinbase? I think it's just BTC, ETH and LTC?

No you cannot, but there are rumors that it might be listed on Coinbase.

Regardless, use Coinbase to buy BTC, ETH, or LTC (more stable) to get XRP using another exchange.

Can’t buy XRP at Coinbase. That’s why you have to buy BTC at Coinbase and transfer it to an exchange that does sell XRP.

cnbc just had the fast money trader BK do a special on ripple and Seema Moody gave background on it...for 10 minutes straight they had a ripple price tracker on the screen which replaced the bitcoin price tracker...

finally getting some publicity...it's going to make that 7.50-8 price target by end of year, in my opinion.

BK also said he thinks its will be added to coinbase within 6-12 months despite coinbase saying today it would not be added now

I hope it's easier to get than Ripple.I was jumping through hoops.

Got some at .23 cents. Since it went up, exchanges were overloaded.

Thank God it went down. I want some more for long term.

Just bought more XRP between 1.70-1.80

Sold a bunch at 3 last week, I believe it was Friday night after it had peaked at 3.43 on kraken that day.

Buying back in low. Daily swings are crazy. A lot of money to be made.

This is a great entry point.

Hit 1.61 in a flash crash type drop from 2.20 the other day and immediately recovered.

This has been a slower bleed but nothing has changed except Korean exchange being left out of the average price calculation. Nothing fundamental. Overall story intact.

Pederson-thanks for sharing your insight on XRP. I’m just curious since I also bought more when the price dropped...would you like to sell most of your new coins once the price got back into the $3 range or do you plan to hold those coins long term?
