Ok. Good morning Covers.

sorry, I lied...... could NOT stay away from this game as I watched both last night...

in a rush but pretty simple....if you watched either/both, you would know what I am about to point out..
miami is ridiculous on D, top 10 Def Eff and ALSO a top 60 Off Eff, but besides that they are ridiculously long/athletic, and they have a deep bench AND great continuity (points scored) from last year. only negative is terrible FT shooting, but last night they were not that bad .... miami doesn't rely on FTs at all making only 11 o so a game and shooting great %'s from 2 and 3 and having an equal point distribution
NMSU---> they absolutely suck at shooting....32% from 3 which is 261st in nation and shoot a ridiculous 60% from FT, which negates miami's shittty FT %.... but most importantly, NMSU is freaking short....330th height in nation!! they do have a relatively 'average' bench and great experience returning from last year (minutes played) NMSU relies heavily on 2 pt buckets/driving to the basket
bottom line is miami runs you off the 3 and forces you to try and penetrate/they dare you to do it because they have unbelievable athleticism and height at the rim....NMSU can't shoot, won;t be able to drive and score and if they get fouled, they can't shoot FTs....**miami's 2 pt defense is one of the best in the nation.
also working for us is that miami started slow last night and was tied with hawaii at half.... they won's start slow again.
also also working for us is a HUGE coaching advantage with Larranega over NMSU's 3rd coach in 3 years, Jans who is not a good coach...

disregard NMSU record of 10-2 ...that's laughable ...
