xavier 9 off eff and 33 def eff....
gw 174 off eff and 176 def eff....against worse competition although early in season
also
xavier 13th tallest team in country with a top 30 bench, go 10 deep, and have top 100 returning points and minutes from last year, i.e. experience
gw is 34th tallest BUT 346 ranked bench out of 351 teams in D1, i.e. NO BENCH....against a team like xavier that is tall and physical and deep, that is trouble....any foul trouble or tired and they are screwed, so basically they are screwed. also, very low continuity rating, i.e. minutes played from last year %-wise carrying over to this year, i.e. no experience....

st. mary's -17 at 5-0 over a 4-0 wazzu team....stylistically they are going to be a nightmare for wazzu...way better O and D eff ratings, way better bench/experience/continuity ratings. should be a route early and throughout but i watched yesterday and st. mary's lapsed a little bit late and covered but made it closer that it needed to be...st. mary's is so freaking disciplined and well coached i think they B* smack wazzu....also, bama just too good and athletic for byu gimmick offense
