Keep in mind, IOWA is up 4 with 4.5 mins left.... but they have been able to get the lead and hold it *BECAUSE* SC BEST PLAYER is on the bench....

At HT, Hawkeyes lead 38 - 37.
Hawkeyes won the 1Q 22 - 13,
but SC won the 2ndQ 24 - 16, and w/o their BEST player!!
Rebounds bigtime in SC favor.
Hawkeyes top 2 players each have a pair of fouls....not a big concern right now but certainly will be if either picks up a 3rd within the first 5 or 6 mins of the 3Q.......If I'm coach dawn Staley I am working on plans to drive at both these key Hawkeye players repeatedly.....they will either draw a foul OR have an easier layup chance.....
Czinano for Hawkeyes (6'3"), is foul prone to begin with. They can't afford to lose her as their lone inside presence on both ends!!!

The temp loss of Hawkeyes only good post player hurts more than SC having their best player playing with 3 -- as she is actually having an OFF game thus far and SC actually played through the 2Q without her and performed much better LOL
But point is edge here to SC in the 3 fouls scenario....for now....

Czinano is a terrific post player on both ends but just picked up her 4th foul with 5:52 left and Hawkeyes up 3.....
At this stage it might not be a big factor--- unless of course she fouls out in a tight game with at least 1.5 m to go...
Game lines at Bet365 are -120 each side now....

Still with a 4 point lead HAWKEYES are now the favorites at -175
I'm actually in a decent spot here with my bets, having won in the early game......Even if SC gets upset as a -11.5 DD fav, I got them for -210 in-game and a loss there vs. the IOWA +11.5 and the LSU win is basically a wash! ....OR.... SC pulls out a close win

I got a virtual wash with wins on LSU and Iowa but a -210 loss with Sc.... Congrats to IOWA!!!

Okay....so for game 2 my capping says SC should prevail, but it's likely to be close! They failed to cover their last two games, both DD favs. And IOWA will be their toughest opp yet! So my strategy here is to look for a MIDDLE: take IOWA +11.5 as a dog pregame and look for an in-game opp to grab SC on the ML to win. If SC leads start to finish I won't get the chance to bet them -- the ML is at least -700+ now.....But I suspect runs and lead changes. *....if grading each bet as to-win-5-units (like others do with their picks!)....Or, if insisting on grading all forum W/L records by the same equal standard - ie, every pick as if to win one unit - then +13.65 units

fubah2 - Been following you for a bit, took me like 50 attempts to get the registration to work to get in here lol. Wanted to thank you for sharing all of your hard work and bets in public while dealing with some pretty childish ridicule. Units earned are $ no matter what the odds are that got you there. Appreciate the write ups along with the how's and why's you share. Keep up the good work. 1 Question: Baseball is starting but i wasn't sure if you posted on that sport. Didnt see you in that forum yet so was curious. I see that you start up in sports after they get going so maybe thats what you do there too. Anyway thanks again.

Meanwhile, with my MEN'S NCAA,
*BEST BETS: 69 - 24 +128.45 units*
*...if bettors had placed a mean avg of 5-units-to-win on all my *Best Bets (like several others on this forum do with their picks!) and at an avg of $1k per unit, then those bettors would be up over $128,000 betting these.....I am not recommending anyone actually do that, but hypothetically those would be the results....Or, if you choose to grade all forum member recordsby the same equal standard - ie, as if betting to win one-unit each - then mine is a net +25.69 units

As for MLB,
yes I do post in that sport normally.... *BUT* this season it's very unlikely, as I have been named director of a new project in my community which will take an enormous amount of time, at least 6 days a week, in addition to my volunteer work with a local Veterans organization.
In retrospect though, just as well, as I am certain I would want to wait a good couple months to see how the new MLB rules impact the game scoring.....and then I always bail at the All-Star break in early July so it wouldn't leave much. There usually are a handful of good dudes in MLB that not only get off to a good start but they sustain it!

Heeyyy yeaaa...VERY GOOD POINT! I had forgotten about that! Thanks for the reminder! Just looking over the stats on each team page at ESPN SDSU has 7 of their top 9 scorers are SENIORS and 2 Juniors.....while FAU - a very tough opponent - only has ONE SENIOR among their top 9 scorers........ For the SDSU starting lineup - which is all seniors I believe, THERE IS NO TOMORROW!! It's win tonight or goodbye forever! Their collective backs are against a proverbial wall, and that is a powerful motivator....so YES, it matters!!
IMHO. Good point! Doesn't mean they will win but that suggests an edge
