Sure they shoot well typically but to your point that could easily end tonight!  They most definitely won't win the inside battle.  It has to be from the perimeter and SC is extremely good at keeping opps arc percentage way down!

iowa stats show they have a bunch of players who can knock down 3s  so if anone has a bad shooting day the others can cover

I don't follow the ladies close like you but looking at that line today it's just begging people to bet on the Iowa dogs for 11 1/2 pts

Interesting game.  LSU was up 7 a minute ago ....... now only 2

So they were up 9 at one point and go into HT down 2.

Mulkey is right....her players are just standing around....no movement....no screens

LSU has to be careful the first several minutes as they have 2 starters with 2 fouls each.

VT owns the boxscore metrics at HT

They still own it at the 3Q break

But the Hokies have blown a surprising 12 pt lead now only 2 with just over 8 mins left....

Aside from the recent 7 - 0 run for LSU, I feel Hokies have played AS A TEAM much better....

So VT was up 12 earlier in the half and then fell behind by 10....but now only down 6....LSU ball at 1m left

Okay....so for game 2 my capping says SC should prevail, but it's likely to be close!

They failed to cover their last two games, both DD favs.

And IOWA  will be their toughest opp yet!

So my strategy here is to look for a MIDDLE:   take IOWA +11.5 as a dog pregame and look for an in-game opp to grab SC on the ML to win. If SC leads start to finish I won't get the chance to bet them -- the ML is at least -700+ now.....But I suspect runs and lead changes.  If not, well I ride with the dog to cover ......Or maybe I can get SC at maybe -200 or so at some point....so then I would have a very decent middle opp! .....If SC wins by more than 11 then I split.  If IOWA upsets SC I would lose -200 or so but win +100.....a reasonable risk for a good shot at winning BOTH!

1st bet: IOWA +11.5

Down 0 - 4 early SC line is down to -450

Timeout 4:14 mark......SC down 6 - 11 ..but I can't see a ML or any spread either!!

Trying to get down on SC moneyline....grrrrr

finally....after SC scores there is a moneyline of -400   ....TOO HIGH!

Still late 1stQ  Iowa leading 13 - 8 and the line on SC is -290....too high! but getting closer!

LIVE BET:  SC -210      down 11 - 18 with under 2 mins left in 1Q

Bummer.......immediately IOWA scores after SC best player gets 2nd foul and has to sit  20 - 11 IOWA......line on SC is down further to -180

1Q ends Iowa up 22 - 13 .....line on SC down to -180......SC best player forced to sit early with a full Q to go in the half she likely sits it all out.....SC has a good bench but it hurts for sure against a top quality opp......I've mentioned before in this thread how fouls can turn a fav into a dog in short order......this could happen here......But if Iowa wins it is unlikely they outperform SC straight up with both teams all players on deck....they just don't match up well and have to depend on their 3 ball, UNLESS fouls remove some key SC bigs....like now!
