Thank you sir…. Exactly the only point I’ve tried to make in a bad way…my grammar, debating, spelling etc is weak.

JJ, my research per your request agreed with zircon's that there were only 4 who fulfilled all the listed criteria.

an_light If they did not achieve positive units, while also hitting 55%+ and maintaining a consistent YTD update then it's reasonable they don't qualify as TOP GUNS.

I see no problem with that.  Makes perfect sense. an_clap

Just four is all there are from my review.  It is not "disrespectful" at all that only four managed to achieve a baseline level worthy of being called TOP GUN.  Indeed in any level of competition of skills there is only ONE winner, like in the real TOP GUN Navy pilots. This is not to say that all the other pilots on an aircraft carrier are being "disrespected." Indeed they are all GOOD.  But the list seems to make a point of honoring those who achieved an even higher level of skill than most.

Maybe in "Mutton Bustin" competition at state rodeos all the kids get a "participation trophy" regardless the results, but we are and should be beyond that here, imo peace_5

Hopefully next year more guys will achieve better results. an_2drinks

“The cash (units) one claims he bets is not relevant to handicapping skill. Maybe to Money Management skill (or lack thereof) but not at all to the skill of picking winners over losers.

Take as an example the listed TOP GUN: KC_4_LIFE 78-45 +27.97
It's entirely possible some "50-unit-BOMB POD" dude could come along with an ugly Win/Loss in complete reverse, at 45 - 78 but claim he has +47.97 units.
Should his dreadful skill at picking winners be judged better than fubah2 and better than KC_4_LIFE on the basis he claims he bet more money??????

Likewise, two dudes with identical 50 - 38 records (pt spreads) have the same skill level! Neither is better than the other at picking winners over losers. The fact that one dude claims he bets $10 (one unit) on all his bets and the other dude claims he bets $50 (5 units) on all his bets makes absolutely no difference whatsover in skills at picking winners. That's the point.."

    i understand your point completely…

any thoughts that maybe your record is incredibly weighted toward LIVE BETS?
    ============
I bet handicap multiple sports/leagues. My records are not incredibly weighted toward LIVE BETS.
This past 8 months it has risen to 50% give or take but previous seasons under 20%

And not necessarily Ideal nor helpful for most of the forum?
    ============
I don't accept the premise. It's a matter of POV.

But for say, most of the forum, I kind of feel your approach is unique….and not recommended for most Amateur players.
    ============
Personally, I believe the opposite is true, and I have successful, documented records to back it up. 99% of the posters to the forum DON'T...... My numbers speak for themselves.

For example, this 2025 NCAA season I posted 83 *Best Bets, PREGAME:
    57 - 26    68.7% (juice lost only -3772) +19.28 net unitsan_2drinks

People can follow or not, their choice. I am not asking them to.  In fact often I discourage them when I feel "regression" is looming. My method works, though and can work for others.  I don't see a problem.

    @fubah2

Well my friend, I’m not sue why you continue to ignore the pink elephant in the room and that is the criteria and reason behind the posting of the BOTTOM GUNS. (I’ll go back and grab the thread from the penalty box if necessary) I was shocked by the exclusive segregation due to personality conflicts. an_shake

The Top Guns, your approach, the OP’s criteria, all of that is fantastic, tremendo. Although exclusive, it’s fantastic that the credit is given!! You especially ran away with the GOAT award.

Sometimes, by habit (me included) as humans we only hear what we want to acknowledge…generally out of stubbornness. Try the current potus. confused I’ll try again, because, well, it’s very important moving forward..that these vendettas be a thing of the past. an_clap

    King Fubah brother…..

    1. HOW MANY QUALIFIED FOR THE LOSERS CLUB? Was it only ryoshi and Wizerguy?

a very simple straight transparent respectful request and I look forward to your reply as gentleman.  Unfortunately Zircon has never acknowledged nor replied to my concerns…and so far you are the spokesman which is great because I really respect and appreciate you.

Please take a look in the NCAAB forums and I think you will find that more than 2 people had bad records and possibly false accounting and thus also deserved the ridicule and harassment. peace_5peace

Take care Duke, and i look really forward to moving along to greener pastures, maybe also a respectful  reply to my one single concern and question.
i promote a level field for all individuals, race, wealth, health, intelligence, mental illnesses, those with special needs.  Perhaps I’m an old left over hippie in values….but I believe we all deserve to be treated as humans per the golden rule.  Unfortunately too many today and this forum included are selfish with motives, have pointed agendas, and are a sad state of affairs for the current and future society. “Hurting others while hiding behind their keyboards”. I wish I could buy you a coffee to discuss…I think we’re wired very similar. Aloha

Try the current potus. confused I’ll try again, because, well, it’s very important moving forward..that these vendettas be a thing of the past. an_clap

an_lightDid not maintain a positive record and perhaps mislead with accounting and thus should be called out over and over and over ? an_light

I find it rather disrespectful to put other members name in my mouth in a negative way… perhaps just me. But unwillingly and I’m not happy but will provide the BOTTOM GUNS if that’s something that truly needs to be addressed.

im really thinking you will agree there was more than just 2.

Off to volunteer on this fine Saturday morning! an_boggienight Will check back and respond shortly. Have a great day everyone it’s GREAT TO BE EMPATHETIC.

This doesn’t sound like you at all….humble and hardly ever a braggart and a respectful insightful offering genuine Member. thumbs_up

“Indeed in any level of competition of skills there is only ONE winner, like in the real TOP GUN Navy pilots.”

Well congratulations then Maverick very well done…an_eek2

I happen to think KC as 2nd place was a winner as well!! And in handicapping which is incredibly difficult there can be more than one winner!!! THANK YOU KC4Life as well as Fubah. an_worship Too much time, work and intelligence for only ONE winner..man the ego can be so dangerous. We are all here handicapping together, it’s simple in my eyes. And I respect your eyes who see this very differently. an_light  peace_5 Take care sincerely and with respect. Jwoods

Again, you seem to be misreading statements.

an_lightThere isn't just "ONE WINNER" here (like the real TOP GUN).  The OP listed   4 "winners"  that achieved the noted parameters.an_clap I see no problem with that whatsoever! I and numerous others APPLAUD ALL OF THOSE WINNERS!  I can attest that winning 55% or more in CBK  on a significantly high volume of picks is not easy!  It's quite an achievement for anyone, imo. Four winners made the list this time.

I presume if 13 members had achieved the parameters then we would have 13 winners to congratulate for their significant achievements! an_clap

If the op posts another list next season, I hope many more can achieve it!an_2drinks

This was the scoreboard for over 4000 views until it was properly put in the penalty box. Further proving my point that Zircon made things personal against others.  Despite the pat on the back for being so great, he has been humiliating others as a bully and it’s clear as day…let’s get transparency, and of course we won’t get a reply from the OP.  He only plays favorites.

peace_5 I included two popular forum posters I am tracking with at least 100 posted picks and a consistently updated ytd.  That's it.  No other reason. peace_5

Other notable members with at least 100+ posted picks:

         Ryoshiii    947-826     - 20.82  sru     (mean avg -117.17 juice)
         Wizerguy     85-89      - 15.23  sru     (mean avg -112.62 juice)”

much better!! an_happydude Yes there were many great winners 4…you of course top gun, in every competition there can only be one GOAT an_worship.

THANK YOU for the positive reply and I agree 100%!! peace

also THANK YOU for acknowledging my thoughts on the OP and the subject of discrediting specific members with personal vendettas. That means a lot sincerely.  I’m certain I won’t hear from the rest on here but am thankful for all the supportive thumbs up.  thumbs_up I’ve spent my life checking bullying and I certainly witnessed it here, have said my piece and will await for Zircon man to stand up here with some honor and explain or admit why he selected the two members to troll and bash.

The over under of a respectful reply is 12%…an_popcorn.  No need to follow Zircon and protect other members, a waste of time.  But if I happen to witness it again…..I’ll make sure Zircon is exposed again.

we made great progress he’s eliminated the childish auto signature and also ended his threads of tracking the losses of  2 members aka picking on/ harassing/trolling seen above. win an_cheers an_dance

I think those two accomplishments alone deserve recognition…I know it certainly makes me feel ecstatic, well done.

If they did not achieve positive units, while also hitting 55%+ and maintaining a consistent YTD update then it's reasonable they don't qualify as TOP GUNS. I see no problem with that.  Makes perfect sense. Maybe in "Mutton Bustin" competition at state rodeos all the kids get a "participation trophy" regardless the results, but we are and should be beyond that here, imo   Hopefully next year more guys will achieve better results.

To answer your query per the list of 16 you submitted (presumed to be those members you felt met the criteria zircon listed in post#1) ....for me this search took quite a bit of doing, but objectively, without taking sides, this is what I found:

Pho-20  ---------------- did not achieve postive units;   and not 55%
oldwiseone ------------- did not consistently update YTD
eastsidebangers ------- did not consistently update YTD
Rum151 --------------- did not consistently update YTD
LB_Dirtbags ----------- did not consistently update YTD
Damon102 ---------never posted an updated YTD
Morrissey ----------chose not to post a YTD
LvTruck ---------------- did not consistently update YTD
IAdecimal5 ------------ did not achieve postive units;   and not 55%
totter ------------------- did not consistently update YTD
    Bird ? (Bird4332) -------------- 20 - 19 YTD
Byrdmayne ---------chose not to post a YTD
Redline ----------- small sample size well under 100+ picks
FunkyRufus -------------- no YTD results posted
Ryoshiii -------------- failed to achieve 55%; BANNED
    STLTarheels ---------------407 - 425 - 10 YTD

an_light It appears zircon did his homework accurately, without bias. The four listed in TOP GUN are the only ones to meet what I agree is reasonable criteria. Although, going forward, perhaps the number of picks could be lowered some from 100 minimum and still achieve a sample size with significant confidence level...
