not a good night again last night. i'm working on refining the types of games i play. i am going to try to focus on more publicly bet games because i think the lines will be more sharp, thus leading to less upsets. i really like the concept of ML parlays though for a couple of reasons. one being that the players are playing to win the game regardless of point margin. they don't play to the spread number (we think anyway ). the other reason is because vegas' lines should be getting sharper and sharper as the season goes on. they should know more about the teams than some average joe like myself and they should therefore be able to predict SU winners with great accuracy. so basically while all other cappers are looking for mistakes in the lines, i will be looking for the sharpest of lines, which when you think about it should be a lot easier. therefore, i really think this strategy can be profitable if plays arent forced and the right guidelines are applied.
so from now on i am going to try and bet games that get more public action, as well as taking mainly home teams. i will rarely take a road team if i see great value in it.
as for tonight, with the short slate of CBB games i am going to play some home NBA favs. i usually don't like playing NBA games, but i like a couple of sides tonight. so here goes... let me know what you think!
Siena/ATL hawks/Portland Trailblazers @ -108
i am going to try and chips away at this deficit in two chunks. i will try and take half of it out tonight. i will play 1.06 units on this play to win .98 units. if i can get a win here then tomorrow should be the break even day. heck, with all the games it might be a jump into profit day as well!
