In the end, overall points leader Oscar Piastri grabbed the pole, with teammate Lando Norris — just nine points back — starting in second.

F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2025 post-qualifying picks

Race prediction: Piastri to win (-200 at bet365)

This race at Circuit Zandvoort just recently got back on the F1 tour, resuming in 2021 after no race had been here since Niki Lauda win in 1985.

The results here have a distinctive pattern: win the pole, win the race. Max Verstappen (who starts third in this race) took the checkered flag in 2021, 2022, and 2023, while Norris turned the trick last year.

This will be Piastri’s fifth start from the front, winning four others, with a third in Italy as the only blemish. Norris has started second three times this year, and has yet to break through to a win.

Piastri’s odds aren’t great, but chalk is the bet here.

Best bet: Hadjar Top 6 (+100 at bet365)

And just like that, team Racing Bulls earned its best start of the season, with Frenchman Isack Hadjar starting in the second row in fourth alongside Verstappen.

This is Hadjar’s best start, with only one Top 5 this year earned at Monaco, where he ended up with his best result of the season, finishing sixth.

He’s only had three Top 10 finishes all year, but he’s got +100 odds to hang within the Top 6 on Sunday.

Hadjar is the only qualifier in the Top 6 with plus odds, but I think the books might be undervaluing him slightly.

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

  • Charles Leclerc +400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $400 if Leclerc wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

  • Max Verstappen -120

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
