The Hamilton Tiger-Cats head to the nation's capital on Sunday to face the Ottawa Redblacks.

These teams squared off last week in Hamilton with the Tabbies prevailing, but my Tiger-Cats vs. Redblacks predictions are expecting Ottawa's offense to bounce back at home.

Here are my best free CFL picks for this Week 7 showdown on July 20.

Tiger-Cats vs Redblacks prediction

My Tiger-Cats vs Redblacks pick: Redblacks team total Over 26.5 (-105 at BET99)

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 3-2 after beating the Ottawa Redblacks 23-20 at home last week.

That said, it was a close contest with Ottawa leading for almost the entire game before Bo Levi Mitchell threw a touchdown pass in the final two minutes to get the dub.

While the Redblacks are at the bottom of the East standings with a 1-5 mark, they are a better team than their record would suggest. Playing without starting quarterback Dru Brown for three games and sloppy penalties have held Ottawa back.

Brown returned to the lineup last week, and the team played with better discipline, getting penalized just three times for 30 yards. Although Brown wasn't great, throwing for 283 yards with two interceptions, expect a bounce-back performance from him at home.

I'm not sold on a Ticats stop unit that has surrendered at least 28 points and 400 yards in three of five games this year. Keep in mind that before last week, Brown had averaged 410.0 passing yards per game with 14 touchdowns and four picks in his previous five contests.

I'm a bit wary of backing the Redblacks on the moneyline due to their poor pass defense. However, I'm confident in their offense eclipsing their team total.

Tiger-Cats vs Redblacks same-game parlay (SGP)

Redblacks team total Over 26.5

Tiger-Cats team total Over 27.5

I was expecting a shootout last week, and both offenses underperformed. That said, I'm doubling down since these quarterbacks and aerial attacks are simply too explosive to contain long-term.

After all, Bo Levi Mitchell leads the CFL in passing yards (1,485) while Ottawa is seventh in opponent pass efficiency and yards allowed per pass attempt (9.1).
