The Hamilton Tiger-Cats host the slumping Calgary Stampeders in CFL action on Saturday night.

Hamilton would clinch first place in the East with a win, while the Stamps are in a three-way battle for a playoff berth out West.

Calgary's defense has struggled over the last month, and my Stampeders vs. Tiger-Cats predictions expect that to continue.

Here are my best free CFL picks for this Week 19 clash on October 11.

Stampeders vs Tiger-Cats prediction

My Stampeders vs Tiger-Cats pick: Tiger-Cats team total Over 29.5 (-125 at BET99)

The Calgary Stampeders' defense has significantly regressed after looking like the best stop unit in the league for the first few months of the year. They've surrendered more than 30 points in their last four games and are getting torched for 8.84 yards per play over that span.

The season-ending injury to star defensive end Folarin Orimolade has hurt, and they will also be missing All-Star safety Damon Webb on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have dropped 30+ points in eight of their last 14 games, and they are fresh off a 47-point explosion against Toronto. Their passing game has been dynamic under quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, who leads the CFL with 4,726 passing yards.

Their offense has become more balanced in recent weeks, with Greg Bell rushing for 550 yards on 6.7 yards per carry over the last five games. He should shred a Stamps defense that allows a league-high 112.2 rushing yards per game on 6.1 yards per carry.

It's also worth noting that Calgary pivot Vernon Adams Jr. has thrown six interceptions in the last three weeks. Turnovers would lead to good field position and quick points coming the other way for Hamilton.

Stampeders vs Tiger-Cats same-game parlay (SGP)

Tiger-Cats team total Over 29.5

Over 56.5

While I expect the Ticats to eclipse their team total, I also think the Stamps will do their part to eclipse the full game total.

The Ticats' defense has been heavily reliant on forcing turnovers since they have a tough time forcing punts. They've allowed the most first downs in the CFL and are third-last in yards allowed per play.

Adams loves to push the ball downfield, while Dedrick Mills (who leads the league with 1,120 rushing yards) should find room against a Tabbies D that struggles against the run.
