The CFL betting board for Week 6 has three rematches from Labor Day Weekend, including the Battle of Alberta as the Calgary Stampeders face off against the Edmonton Elks.

The Elks overcame a decimated roster last week to defeat the Stampeders as 5-point away underdogs and now they'll play in front of their home fans at Commonwealth Stadium. But it won't be easy to win again, with the Stamps star quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell returning to the lineup for Saturday's matchup.

Here are our best free Stampeders vs. Elks picks and predictions for Saturday, September 11, with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Betting trend to know

The Stampeders are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games as a road underdog. Find more CFL betting trends for Stampeders vs. Elks.

Against the spread (ATS) pick

The Edmonton Elks have the league's best offense and defense in terms of yardage, but poor red-zone play and turnovers played a role in their team underperforming through the first four weeks of the year. They entered last weekend with loads of question marks after 14 players (including five starters) tested positive for COVID-19 but somehow put it all together to roll to a 32-20 victory in Calgary.

The Stampeders have been a perennial contender for more than a decade, but at 1-4 SU are off to a brutal start to a short season. That said, they might not be quite as bad as that record suggests. The Stamps actually had a 17-14 lead in the third quarter last week and two of their other losses came by last-minute field goals.

Their remaining defeat came in Week 2 when injured star quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell threw four interceptions in a 6-point loss to BC. Immediately after that contest, Mitchell was placed on the 6-game IL for a broken fibula that he suffered in the season opener but went undiagnosed.

Rookie backup Jake Maier has played well in relief, but he simply isn't on the same level as Mitchell who took home CFL Most Outstanding Player Award honors in 2016 and 2018 while guiding Calgary to a pair of Grey Cup victories. Well, Mitchell appears to be a fast healer, and after taking snaps in practice last week, he is listed as the starter for Saturday.

It's always tough to beat a rival in consecutive weeks and the Stamps will be even tougher with Mitchell back in the fold. With Calgary 20-7 ATS in its last 27 games as a road underdog and Edmonton 0-5 ATS in its previous five contests as a home fave, back the Stamps.

PREDICTION: Calgary +1.5 (-110)

Over/Under pick

The Under is typically a very profitable play through the first few weeks of the CFL season, and this year it was even more so as offenses had to shake off the rust of back-to-back offseasons and no preseason. Through Weeks 1-4, Overs went 3-12, with those games seeing an average total of just 38 points per game.

But Week 5 was a different story, with Overs going 3-1 with an average total of 53.5 ppg. These two rivals combined for 52 points and they could be in line for even more fireworks on Saturday if Mitchell is once again healthy. Don't forget that Mitchell has been one of the best passers in the league since 2014, and with Maier throwing for over 300 yards in three straight games, he should be able to torch opponents through the air as well.

As for the Elks, they rolled up 480 yards of offense last week and quarterback Trevor Harris led the way with 398 passing yards and four touchdowns. They lead the league with 423.8 yards per game and if they have managed to solve their red-zone issues, they could have one of the top offenses around. Grab the Over.

PREDICTION: Over 46 (-110)
