Against the spread (ATS) pick
Going into Week 5, Saskatchewan was the Grey Cup favorite after going a perfect 3-0 to start the year. Then, the Roughriders offense was shut down at home in the first leg of the Banjo Bowl, losing 23-8 to the defending champion Blue Bombers.
Now the Riders head to IG Field in Winnipeg as they look for a measure of revenge in a rematch. A big reason for Saskatchewan's loss last week was turnovers, with Riders QB Cody Fajardo throwing three interceptions while completing just 59 percent of his passes for 211 yards.
That said, Fajardo is typically far more efficient. He completed 71.5 percent of his passes for 4,302 yards and just eight picks in 18 games in 2019 and had a 78.9 completion percentage with just a single interception through his first three games of this season.
This is a strong Saskatchewan squad on offense, defense, and special teams, and it won't be easy for Winnipeg to beat them in back-to-back weeks. Especially with the Bombers offense ranking just seventh in the league in yards per game.
With the Riders 4-0 ATS in their last four away contests and 4-0-1 ATS in their previous five games coming off a SU loss, look for them to cut down on their mistakes and bounce back with a cover.

Labor Day weekend saw a defensive battle between these two squads with a total of just 31 points scored. Led by linebacker Adam Singleton and ends Willie Jefferson and Jackson Jeffcoat, the Bombers have the CFL's top scoring defense, holding foes to just 13.4 points per game.
The Roughriders also have a fantastic stop-unit, leading the league in sacks with 15 while ranking second in both total defense (310 yards per game allowed) and scoring defense (17.5 ppg).
Winnipeg also prefers to run a run-heavy, ball-control scheme on offense which tends to result in lower-scoring games. The Under is 6-1 in the Bombers' last seven games while also cashing in five of the Riders' previous six contests.
