BC won't play with its food on Friday night, as the red-hot Lions are set to keep Ottawa winless and on the wrong side of CFL history.

The BC Lions have been one of the CFL's hottest teams, winning eight of their last nine games, and the Leos will look to keep rolling as 13.5-point favorites over the hapless Ottawa Redblacks.

With Ottawa continuing to make history for all the wrong reasons, my Lions vs. Redblacks predictions expect a dominant BC victory.

Here are my best CFL picks for this Week 19 showdown on Friday, October 9, with kickoff set for 10 p.m. ET on TSN from BC Place in Vancouver.

Who will win Redblacks vs Lions: Lions -13.5 (-112)

No one, and I mean no one, is stopping the BC Lions right now.

Over their last nine games, the Leos boast a +84-point differential, averaging 33.3 points per game while picking up four wins by double digits.

Meanwhile, the Ottawa Redblacks are 0-15, setting a new CFL record for the worst start to a season. Ottawa has had no answers defensively, allowing opposing quarterbacks to post a 118.8 passer rating while surrendering 5.7 yards per carry on the ground.

BC has covered back-to-back 7.5-point spreads against Ottawa, and the Lions won’t be taking their foot off the gas as they look to stay on pace for the No. 2 seed and a home playoff game in November.

Playable to -115.

Redblacks vs Lions total prediction: Over 63.5 (-112)

These two teams combined for 69 points in their Week 13 meeting back in August, and an indoor matchup on the fast track at BC Place eliminates any risk of cold October weather disrupting either passing attack.

With McLeod Bethel-Thompson expected to start for Ottawa, the veteran pivot should remain aggressive in a pass-heavy game script. Bethel-Thompson has averaged 335 passing yards across three starts this season, with those contests producing 68 combined points per game.

Playable to 64.5.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Ottawa is allowing a league-worst 37.2 points per game this season, putting it on pace for the third-most points surrendered in CFL history.

Redblacks vs Lions same-game parlay

Ottawa is just 5-10 ATS this season despite consistently catching plenty of points, and there’s little reason to believe that trend will change against the Leos.

Expect another high-scoring affair under the dome at BC Place, with the Lions inflicting the majority of the damage.
