The Montreal Alouettes face off against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday night.

Montreal has been getting off to fast starts, and my Alouettes vs. Tiger-Cats predictions are betting on that to continue.

Here are my best free CFL picks for this Week 4 showdown on June 27.

Alouettes vs Tiger-Cats prediction

My Alouettes vs Tiger-Cats pick: Alouettes 1H -1 (-105 at BET99)

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are hoping that their bye last week will get them refocused after a pair of defeats to begin the year. They were hammered by a bad Stampeders squad in Week 1 before losing 28-23 to the Roughriders at home in Week 2.

Hamilton's front seven has been gashed against the run, while its pass rush is non-existent. The Ticats cut MLB Kyle Wilson and replaced him with first-rounder Devin Veresuk, who has the tools to excel in the CFL but is likely to face early hiccups as a rookie in the middle of a struggling defense.

Meanwhile, the Montreal Alouettes are 3-0 straight up and against the spread. They'll be without quarterback Davis Alexander this week due to a hamstring strain, but backup McLeod Bethel-Thompson is a two-time East All-Star who was sharp in relief last week.

The Ticats have Bo Levi Mitchell slinging the ball to a talented WR corps. However, their pass protection has been poor, and Mitchell could be under constant pressure from Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund and Lwal Uguak.

Montreal boasts one of the top defenses in the league and has been dominant in the first half of games. The Als have gone into halftime with leads of 15-3, 19-3, and 24-6 this season, and I'm backing them to build another first-half lead on Friday.

Alouettes vs Tiger-Cats same-game parlay (SGP)

Alouettes 1H -1

Over 48.5

The total opened at 50.5 before ticking down to 48.5, but I'm going against that line movement. There won't be much of a drop-off from Alexander to MBT, especially with weapons like Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead at his disposal.

Hamilton's struggling defense will have its hands full with Montreal's explosive attack. That said, the Ticats' dynamic passing game is more than capable of airing it out and putting up points with a negative game script.
