Week 15 in the CFL wraps up on Saturday night with the Saskatchewan Roughriders hosting the Montreal Alouettes at Mosaic Stadium.

Both teams have been cashing Under tickets lately, and my Alouettes vs. Roughriders predictions expect that to continue on Saturday.

Here are my free CFL picks for this showdown on September 13.

Alouettes vs Roughriders prediction

My Alouettes vs Roughriders pick: Under 50.5 (-120 at BET99)

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have gone 5-1 to the Under in their last six games thanks to a defense that leads the CFL in sacks (34), while ranking second in ppg allowed (21.5) and yards per play allowed (6.38).

The Riders should be able to shut down a Montreal Alouettes offense that has struggled since losing starting quarterback Davis Alexander to a hip injury. The Als have averaged just 13.6 ppg on 4.83 yards per play over their last five games.

Montreal has gotten some good news with the return of No. 2 pivot McLeod Bethel-Thompson, which means it doesn't have to keep starting fourth-string QB James Morgan.

MBT is more proven than Morgan, but has struggled when called into action this year, averaging 6.3 yards per pass attempt with four touchdowns and five interceptions.

He'll have a tough time against a Riders stop unit that brings a ton of pressure and ranks second in the league in takeaways.

On defense, Montreal has been solid, ranking second in the league in sacks (27) and yards allowed per pass (8.12). That stingy defense will do its part to slow down an explosive Roughriders attack.

Alouettes vs Roughriders same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 50.5

Roughriders -6.5

The Alouettes are 0-5 SU and ATS in their last five games, with four of those defeats coming by double digits. That includes a Week 9 clash against the Riders where they were clobbered 34-6 in Montreal.

Now they're heading to Mosaic to face a Riders squad that has the best record in the CFL and can clinch a playoff spot with a win. I like Saskatchewan to take care of business, but I'd prefer moving the spread through that key number of 7.0.
