WrestleMania 41 picks
CM Punk vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins
If you told me 10 years ago that CM Punk would not only return to professional wrestling, but to WWE, I would’ve laughed in your face.
Yet here we are. Not only has that comeback become a reality, but Punk is now headlining a WrestleMania main event — something that has eluded the Straight Edge Savior his entire career. Facing off against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins (formerly of The Shield, a faction Punk helped create back in the day), Punk is listed as a -115 favorite to have the last laugh in Sin City on Saturday night.
Punk holds the edge mainly because of a "favor" owed to him by his best friend, Paul Heyman — and it's likely the Advocate will be the deciding factor in who walks out of Allegiant Stadium victorious.
Over the past few weeks, we've seen teases of Heyman turning on his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, as well as the possibility of him siding with Seth Rollins and betraying Punk in the process.
As far as I’m concerned, Roman Reigns won’t be taking a loss at WrestleMania two years in a row. And while there’s no title on the line in this triple-threat match, a win might be exactly what Reigns needs to be written back in as a contender for the WWE Championship.
Pick: Roman Reigns (+300)
Gunther (c) vs Jey Uso
This past year has seen WWE elevate Jey Uso to more than just a glorified tag-teamer or Bloodline family member, as the Samoan star took the company by storm in February and edged out John Cena and CM Punk to win the Men's Royal Rumble.
Gunther has held the World Heavyweight Championship since August, and it’s only a matter of time before the title changes hands. Besides, the pop of "Yeet!" ringing through Allegiant Stadium from 70,000+ fans will be worth it in itself.
Pick: Jey Uso (-700)
Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair will go down as the most accomplished female in WWE history, and I'm fairly shocked she's an underdog for this title bout.
Although Flair is at a crossroads with fans (who seemingly criticize her at every turn), the 14-time Women’s World Champion wasn’t booked as the Royal Rumble winner just to lose to a 25-year-old on sports entertainment’s grandest stage.
Flair and Stratton’s feud has taken on shades of The Substance, with Stratton portraying a younger, flashier version of Flair herself. However, what Stratton brings in athleticism, she lacks in the promo department — something that’s been exposed throughout her recent feud with the future Hall-of-Famer.
After putting over Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 and missing last year’s event due to devastating ACL, MCL, and meniscus tears, expect Flair to climb back to the top of the mountain on Saturday.
Pick: Charlotte Flair (+100)
