Given the short odds on Erling Haaland, I’m looking elsewhere for my favorite anytime goal-scorer prop.
Alexander Sorloth bagged 20 goals for Atletico Madrid this season across all competitions, and he’s well placed to benefit from all the attention on Haaland.
A deadly striker in his own right, Sorloth will start in a wider role on the right wing, but he has a license to get into the box to support attacks, and I see Norway creating a bagful of chances here.
He scored a double against Estonia last November as the Norwegians put the final touches on a terrific qualifying run, and at 6-foot-5, he’s a natural target at set pieces.

Argentina vs Algeria goal scorer prediction: Lautaro Martinez

Lautaro Martinez is coming off a strong season with Inter Milan, bagging 22 goals in 40 matches across all competitions. He’s also scored in three of his last four outings for Argentina.
His movement in the box has improved, becoming a more complete striker. Of his 17 Serie A goals, he scored four with his head and five with his weaker foot.
Martinez likes to get physical with defenders inside the area. Algeria struggled with Victor Osimhen doing just that to them in the AFCON loss, and I expect Martinez to use that to his advantage.
Add in the fact that he will be on penalties if Messi’s off the pitch, and I love getting Martinez at close to even money to score.

Austria vs Jordan goal scorer prediction: Marko Arnautovic
