She’s baaaack! With Caitlin Clark finally healthy alongside Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, the Indiana Fever have title contender upside, and I see them making a strong statement here against the Dallas Wings.
Indy was 15-9 ATS at home last season despite Clark’s injuries, and the Fever offense ranked third in the league with 84.9 PPG. That spells trouble for the Wings, who struggled defensively last year while allowing 88 PPG – and only the run-and-gun L.A. Sparks gave up more.
The hosts have won five of the last six matchups against Dallas, covering the spread in four of those victories.
COVERS INTEL: The Wings were burnt by the 3-ball last season, allowing a league-worst 39% from deep, and it’s no secret that the Fever have the shooters to make them pay.
Wings vs Fever same-game parlay
Clark is the obvious headline act for an Indiana win today, but don’t sleep on Mitchell, who embraced the extra scoring responsibility last year and went past this O/U number in five of her eight playoff outings.
Mitchell looked sharp in last weekend’s preseason win over the Nigeria national team, scoring 17 points on just nine shots and making all three of her 3-pointers. Count on that form to carry over into today's matchup.
She’s also a career 38% sniper from beyond the arc, and Clark’s return should open up far more space for the rest of the Fever playmakers. While Mitchell had to settle for contested triples last year, everything should be cleaner with Caitlin drawing a crowd.

Just as Dallas’ shaky 3-point defense last year is a good sign for Mitchell’s props this afternoon, the same logic applies to Clark and her unlimited range. In what feels likely to be a high-scoring shootout, Caitlin will have ample opportunities to grab the headlines.
Watch for Clark to thrive on the pressure of a head-to-head battle with Paige Bueckers, and she was dialed in last week against the Wings, dropping 21 points in 16 minutes in exhibition action. Even when the 3-ball isn't falling, she's more than capable of forcing her way to the free-throw line or driving into the paint.
Caitlin also had 20+ points in four of her first six games last season, so don't expect any rust here.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be ready to erupt whenever Clark has the ball, and I’m wagering on an aggressive start from the Fever star.
As Caitlin heats up, the Wings may send more double teams her way, but she should be able to attack single coverage in the opening exchanges and this first basket prop offers nice value, with Indy likely to get her early touches.
With the adrenaline rush of being back on the court in a meaningful WNBA game, Clark could really pull up from anywhere.
