Hanshew's prediction: The Sun defense won't be a match for a veteran like Skylar Diggins as she lights up Connecticut.

Powered by a monster performance from veteran Tina Charles, the Connecticut Sun snapped a 10-game skid with a home win over the Seattle Storm on Wednesday.

Tonight's rematch will be played at Climate Pledge Arena, and the Storm will look to avenge their latest loss with a victory in front of the home crowd.

As a result, my Sun vs. Storm predictions expect Skylar Diggins to stay hot in a high-scoring affair.

Sun vs Storm predictions

My Sun vs Storm best bet: Skylar Diggins Over 17.5 points + Over 5.5 assists (+275 via bet365)

Skylar Diggins has been great in her 11th season, averaging 18.5 points and six assists through 20 appearances in 2025. That includes averages of 17.6 points and 6.4 dimes at home compared to 19.2 points and 5.5 dimes on the road.

Diggins has scored 18 or more points in 14 of 20 games, and she’s dished at least six assists in 12. Seattle Storm’s star guard has reached both milestones in the same game nine times this season. She totaled 23 points and seven assists in Wednesday’s loss at Connecticut and finished with 24 points and five assists in when the teams met in Seattle on June 27.

Over her last eight overall, Diggins has provided at least 18 points and six dimes five times. She’s hit both marks in three of her last four at home and missed out on going four for four by falling a single assist shy against the Sun.

The Sun have allowed the most points per game to opponents this season at 88.4 and the third-most assists at 21.3. The Connecticut Sun defense has been even more generous on the road, yielding 90.1 points and 22.3 assists.

Diggins should have no problem picking apart the Sun’s porous defense in a favorable home matchup. I expect her to hit the Over on her scoring and assist lines for a nice plus-money wager.

Sun vs Storm same-game parlay (SGP)

Skylar Diggins Over 17.5 points

Skylar Diggins Over 5.5 assists

Over 157.5

Connecticut is 9-9-1 to the Over this season, while Seattle is 12-8 to the Over. While Connecticut’s offense is the worst in the W in points per game scored at 72.1, Seattle’s offense ranks sixth with 82.3.

The Storm lead the league in points per game at home with a whopping 87.2, and a return home after four games on the road should yield an abundance of scoring.

The Sun have hit the Over in five of their last 10, while the Storm have reached that mark in seven of their last 10. The two teams have hit the Game Total Over in three of their last five head-to-head clashes.

Connecticut is the heavy underdog for a reason, but after winning Wednesday and facing a potential return from leading scorer Marina Mabrey, I’m staying away from the spread. Betting the point total is a far more attractive option here.
