The Los Angeles Sparks are one of the hottest teams in the WNBA, and they’ll look to keep the momentum rolling when the last-place Connecticut Sun visit Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night.

My Sun vs. Sparks predictions and WNBA picks believe we'll see a lofty point total, with Marina Mabrey and Rickea Jackson leading the way on offense.

Sun vs Sparks predictions

My Sun vs Sparks best bet: Over 174.5 (-108 at DraftKings)

Betting the Over with the Los Angeles Sparks has been a winning endeavor this season, as L.A. is a healthy 19-8-1. The Sparks are 9-1 to the Over across their last 10 and boast the W’s highest-scoring offense in that span.

Los Angeles has found its groove in 2025 thanks to the prolific scoring of Kelsey Plum, Rickea Jackson, and Dearica Hamby, among others. The Sparks rank third in the Association in points per game at 86, but over the last 10, LA has put up a whopping 93.9 ppg.

The Sparks have scored at least 100 points in four of their last five games and at least 90 points in seven of the last eight. L.A. is a healthy 8-2 straight up across its last 10 thanks to its electric offense, but the team has been winning in shootouts thanks to its poor defense.

On the season, the Sparks have allowed the most points per game at 88.1, while the Connecticut Sun have allowed the second-most at 86.9. Over the last 10, L.A. has surrendered 90.3 points (most), while Connecticut has given up 83.6.

Connecticut’s offense is the worst in the W, but it should have an easier time putting up points in this matchup. In two head-to-head contests, the Sun and Sparks have gone 2-0 to the Over and posted point totals of 180 and 187.

Sun vs Sparks same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 174.5

Marina Mabrey 23+ points + rebounds + assists

Rickea Jackson 16+ points

Marina Mabrey had a strong performance in her last game, going for 18/3/3 against the Mercury. She’s played in six games since returning from an extended absence, and Mabrey has piled up counting stats across her last three.

Her minutes have ticked back up to 31.3 over her last three outings, and she’s averaged 24.9 PRA while hitting the Over on this line twice. Her efficiency has been terrible, as she’s shot 32.7% from the floor and 20.8% from beyond the arc, but the volume has been there. Mabrey has the green light, and she’s averaged 16.3 field goals and eight three-point attempts in that span.

Jackson has been red-hot as of late, averaging 18.6 points per game across her last seven while scoring at least 16 points five times. On the season, she’s reached that scoring milestone in nine of 23 appearances, including a 19-point performance at home against the Sun.
