Two teams tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the WNBA clash for the final time this season when the Los Angeles Sparks visit the Golden State Valkyries.

Since an L.A. win to kick off the series, Golden State has won each of the last two encounters.

Our Sparks vs. Valkyries predictions and WNBA picks have that streak stopping Saturday, with the streaking Sparks getting it done on the road.

Sparks vs Valkyries predictions

My Sparks vs Valkyries best betSparks -4 (-110 at bet365)

A July 10 loss to the Minnesota Lynx had the Los Angeles Sparks in dire straits, at 6-14 and just two wins in nine games.

Since then, the Sparks have ripped off wins in eight of their last nine, including the last three in a row.

They’ve been by far the highest scoring team in the W during this run, averaging a hefty 96.7 points per game.

On the other end of the spectrum are the Golden State Valkyries, who are the second-lowest scoring team in that same stretch, averaging just 72.4 points per contest.

They’ve been able to stay afloat with a defense that ranks second in the WNBA, allowing just 78.4 points per game.

Golden State was just swept in a home-and-home set with the Las Vegas Aces, dropping them into this tie with L.A.

At 9-6, the Sparks are tied for the second-most road wins in the league.

They’ve won five straight on the road and have a 5-0-0 record against the spread.

That trend continues in a biggie Saturday.

Sparks vs Valkyries same-game parlay (SGP)

Sparks -1.5

Rickea Jackson Over 15.5 points

Dearica Hamby Over 8.5 rebounds

Let’s add a couple of standout Sparks to build a 3-legged SGP.

Rickea Jackson has been on fire during the three-game winning streak, averaging 24.3 points on a crisp 51.3% shooting from the field.

While she’s gone Under her 15.5 scoring line in two previous games vs Golden State, Jackson has scored at least 20 points in three of her last four road games.

Dearica Hamby has grabbed at least 10 boards in four of the last seven games, but, after back-to-back subpar rebounding numbers, her line is just 8.5.

It’s a number she’s topped in two of three meetings with GState this season, and worth the pick to make it a third.
