The Las Vegas Aces dominated the Sparks in 2025, and they'll get back to their winning ways in Los Angeles tonight.

The Las Vegas Aces will look to rebound from a disastrous season opener as they visit the Los Angeles Sparks tonight.

Las Vegas came out flat on Saturday, but this team is too good to worry about one bad performance. I’m taking it to cover tonight in my Aces vs. Sparks predictions.

Read on to see my full slate of WNBA picks for Sunday, May 10.

Aces vs Sparks prediction

Aces vs Sparks best bet: Aces -1.5 (-120)

The Los Angeles Sparks come into the new season needing to make huge changes defensively after allowing a league-worst 88.2 ppg in 2025.

They were particularly powerless to stop the Las Vegas Aces, who shredded them to the tune of 94.3 ppg last year.

The Aces got walloped in their opener by the Phoenix Mercury, but one game does not define a season.

They remain the defending champions and have arguably the best roster in the WNBA on paper. With a game under their belt, they'll find a good rhythm to avoid going 0-2.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Los Angeles Sparks were fourth-worst in the WNBA last season with a defensive rating of 109.5

Aces vs Sparks same-game parlay

The Aces' bounce-back performance will be led by A'ja Wilson after a disappointing (by her standards) 19-point, four-rebound performance against the Phoenix Mercury yesterday. Wilson averaged 43.6 PRA against the porous Sparks defense last year and should put in a strong performance tonight.

On the other side of the ball, I can’t ignore Kelsey Plum’s success from behind the 3-point line over the last few seasons. Plum has averaged at least 2.3 made threes for four straight years and will remain a focal point of the Sparks' offense in 2026.

Aces vs Sparks SGP

  • Aces -1.5
  • A'ja Wilson Over 38.5 points + rebounds + assists
  • Kelsey Plum Over 1.5 threes

Aces vs Sparks first basket scorer: A'ja Wilson (+350)

Wilson didn’t have her best game against Phoenix on Saturday, but she still scored the first bucket for Las Vegas within the first minute of the game.

Nobody brings in the first basket scorer prop every night, but Wilson is as good a bet as there is in the WNBA, as she gets the ball more than any other player in the league.

She led the WNBA with a 31.4% usage rate last season, and there’s no reason to expect anything different this year.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
