The Washington Mystics try to put an end to a two-game slide when they host the Chicago Sky on Tuesday. The Sky have just two wins in their last seven, part of the reason they're 6.5-point underdogs tonight.

Our Sky vs. Mystics prediction and WNBA picks have the visitors capitalizing on a Chicago side wrapping up a four-game road trip — with an early start time.

Sky vs Mystics predictions

My Sky vs Mystics best bet: Mystics -6.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

It’s been a tough year for the Chicago Sky, who rank second-last in the WNBA at 5-12 and have lost eight of their past 11. A deeper look and it’s even more grim: its five wins are against L.A. (twice), Dallas (twice), and Connecticut — all Bottom-4 teams in the league.

The Sky’s issues are widespread, as they score just 78.6 points per game and allow 87.2, both ranking 12th in the 13-team league.

It hasn’t been a banner year for the Washington Mystics, but at 8-10, they’re in the playoff mix. They’re coming off a 92-75 whipping at the hands of the W-leading Lynx, so this could be a good bounceback spot in their schedule.

Washington has already won 79-72 over the Sky this season and has ripped off eight wins in the last nine head-to-head matchups, going 7-2 ATS in those games.

Chicago will also be less than whole, as center Kamilla Cardoso is out after playing for her native Brazil in the FIBA AmeriCup.  I like the Mystics to end the Sky’s road trip on a low note.

Sky vs Mystics same-game parlay (SGP)

Mystics -6.5

Sonia Citron Over 13.5 points

Angel Reese Over 13.5 rebounds

Sonia Citron’s tough night against Minnesota has lowered the books’ expectations for her Tuesday. Her scoring line is a gettable 13.5 — prior to her 7-point outing against the Lynx, she topped 20 points in three of four, and went Over this number in four of five. Bet on Citron’s bounce back against Chicago.

And perhaps the only bright spot for the Sky is rebounding machine Angel Reese, who leads the WNBA at 12.8 boards per contest. No other player in the league is even averaging double digits.

Reese has grabbed at least 14 rebounds in five straight, and should again be a force Tuesday.
