As the WNBA playoffs inch closer, A'ja Wilson shows no signs of slowing down so count on her to remain with the hot hand.

There are five games on the WNBA schedule for Tuesday night, giving us a wealth of options to pick from when it comes to making some player prop picks.

I like A’ja Wilson to continue putting up big numbers for the Las Vegas Aces tonight, while I’m more skeptical about Sabrina Ionescu given her continuing shooting struggles.

Let’s take a look at all of my best prop picks for tonight’s games in my free WNBA picks for Tuesday, August 19.

WNBA player prop bets for August 19

  • Aces Wilson Over 38.5 points + rebounds + assists (-112)
  • Liberty Ionescu Under 2.5 3-pointers made (-175)
  • Mercury Thomas Over 14.5 points (-106)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

A’ja Wilson Over 38.5 points + rebounds + assists (-112 at FanDuel)

While A’ja Wilson isn’t the favorite to win a fourth MVP title, the Las Vegas Aces star is having another outstanding season. She’s averaging 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, for a PRA average of 35.7.

But as the Aces have started to find their stride – they’ve won seven in a row now – Wilson has pushed her production even higher. She hasn’t come in with a PRA total of less than 37 in any of her last six outings, and has gone over 40 in four of her last five games.

The Atlanta Dream don’t love to push the pace, but that hasn’t stopped Wilson in the past. In her last meeting with Atlanta earlier this season, she put up 41 PRA.

I’m expecting more big results out of Wilson tonight, and likely another Las Vegas win.

Sabrina Ionescu Under 2.5 3-pointers made (-175 at DraftKings)

Sabrina Ionescu may be known as a sharpshooter, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she fires shots from deep in volume.

The New York Liberty guard is only averaging 2.3 made threes per game this year, and even her accuracy has fallen precipitously, as she’s shooting a career low 30.6% from beyond the arc in 2025.

There’s no sign that this trend is changing, either. In eight games this August, Ionescu has only managed as many as three made three-pointers once. Over the course of those games, she’s shooting just 25.5% from deep, a worrying trend for a New York team that has seen itself fall to third in the WNBA standings.

Tonight, the Liberty play the team they’ve fallen 7.5 games behind in the Minnesota Lynx. Minnesota allows just 75.8 ppg while holding opponents to 31.9% from three-point range on an average of 7.5 attempts per game.

That adds up to a tough night for Ionescu, which is why I’m taking the Under on her threes made.

Alyssa Thomas Over 14.5 points (-106 at FanDuel)

The Phoenix Mercury have been a pleasant surprise this season and are well on their way to a postseason berth. And while several players have played key roles for Phoenix, Alyssa Thomas has taken on something of a leading role in recent weeks.

Heading into tonight’s game, Thomas has scored at least 15 points in four straight games and seven of her last ten contests overall. It’s not just a short-term run of scoring, either, as Thomas is averaging 16.2 ppg for the season overall.

Thomas has been efficient with the ball as of late, and is scoring more even while sharing usage with Kahleah Copper and Satou Sabally.

The Golden State Valkyries have been surprisingly tough on defense in their debut season, but with a modest figure on her scoring prop tonight, I still like Thomas to hit the Over.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
