Sabrina Ionescu's hot hand has been carrying the Liberty in Breanna Stewart's absence as the Wings won't be able to keep up in Brooklyn for tonight's prop picks.

Despite a stacked five-game Tuesday schedule, it’s tough to look past Sabrina Ionescu vs Paige Bueckers as the highlight of the night, with the New York Liberty and Dallas Wings colliding at Barclays Center.

Ionescu is coming off a season-high 36 points against the Connecticut Sun at the weekend, and she features in my Top 3 WNBA player props for the August 5 hoops action. I’m also dialed in on the surging Los Angeles Sparks, who’ve won six of their last seven contests.

Let's take a deep dive into my WNBA picks for Tuesday, August 5.

WNBA player prop bets for August 5

  • Liberty Ionescu Over 22.5 points (-128)
  • Sparks Jackson Over 14.5 points (-105)
  • Lynx Williams Over 14.5 points (-110)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Sabrina Ionescu Over 22.5 points (-128 at FanDuel)

The New York Liberty snapped a four-game skid on Sunday thanks to a masterpiece from Sabrina Ionescu, who put the team on her back and made 14 of her 22 shots.

With Breanna Stewart still out, Ionescu is the undisputed No. 1 option in the New York offense, and I’m taking the Over on this 22.5 points prop line. Sabrina has gone past this number in five of her last six games, reaching the 30-point mark in three of those outings.

She hasn’t even been at her best from 3-point range, shooting just 9-for-32 from downtown across her past five contests, but she’s finding other ways to get buckets, including a near-perfect mark at the free-throw line. If the triples start falling, look out!

I see her getting the better of Paige Bueckers and an overmatched Dallas Wings defense here. The Wings are allowing 86.6 PPG this season, and Ionescu should have no trouble getting up 20+ shots for the fifth time in her past seven games.

Rickea Jackson Over 14.5 points (-105 at DraftKings)

The Los Angeles Sparks are back in the hunt for a playoff spot after an eye-catching end of July, and Rickea Jackson has swung a few recent games in their favor.

Though Jackson can be a trick-or-treat performer, finishing with single-digit points in two of her last five games and cruising to 20+ points in the other three, I’m wagering on her best traits being on display tonight against the Indiana Fever.

Jackson was a difference-maker for the Sparks with 27 points in their double OT victory over the Seattle Storm on Friday, and I expect that rhythm to carry over to tonight’s contest.

She sneaked past this O/U line against Indiana earlier this season, and she seems more comfortable picking her spots to attack next to Kelsey Plum and Dearica Hamby.

With Jackson nailing this Over in two of her last three home games, I expect her to be in attack mode at Crypto.com Arena in tonight’s late tip.

Courtney Williams Over 14.5 points (-110 at FanDuel)

Napheesa Collier’s ankle injury leaves big shoes for the Minnesota Lynx to fill, and there are lots of shots up for grabs for the rest of the starting line-up.

With Courtney Williams well placed to pick up some of the slack, I’m jumping on the Over for her points prop tonight against the Seattle Storm.

Williams has been content to slide into a playmaking role this year (6.4 APG) with Collier doing the bulk of the scoring, but the crafty guard is certainly capable of stepping into a bigger spotlight.

She’s already averaging 13.7 PPG this year, and it’s hardly a stretch to envision her getting up three or four extra field goal attempts without Collier on the floor.

Williams made four of her five shots against the Las Vegas Aces on Saturday, but the Lynx need her in a higher-volume role for the next few weeks alongside Kayla McBride.

Williams dropped 23 points against the Storm back in May, and she’s the X-factor here as this 24-5 Minnesota team tries to stay on course for the No. 1 seed.
