Tonight’s three-game WNBA slate delivers prime player prop value from beyond the arc.
Kayla McBride, Ariel Atkins, and DeWanna Bonner headline our 3-point shooting targets with favorable matchups against inconsistent perimeter defenses.
Read on for my WNBA picks for Thursday, August 28.
WNBA player prop bets for August 28
McBride o2.5 made 3s (+120)
Atkins o1.5 made 3s (-104)
Bonner o1.5 made 3s (+140)
Kayla McBride Over 2.5 made threes
Tonight, Kayla McBride and the Minnesota Lynx face the Seattle Storm, and we’re getting tremendous value on McBride to sink three or more threes.
As Minnesota’s top perimeter threat, she’s averaging nearly seven 3-point attempts per game, hitting an impressive 41%.
With Napheesa Collier back in the lineup, McBride should see more open looks as Collier draws double-teams, and she’s a solid playmaker with over three assists per contest.
Seattle’s been shaky defending the arc, allowing 36% from deep over their last five games. McBride has cleared 3+ threes in three of her previous six games, including going 4-for-8 at Indiana.
McBride went 1-for-5 in her only meeting against Seattle, but I’m betting the red-hot Notre Dame product avenges that stinker with a strong long-range shooting night at home tonight.

Ariel Atkins Over 1.5 made threes
Ariel Atkins is lined up for another solid 3-point shooting night as the Chicago Sky take on the Phoenix Mercury.
The veteran guard averages 1.5 made threes per game while shooting 37% from deep on nearly four attempts per outing.
Phoenix may guard the arc decently overall, but they’ve allowed the 10th-most 3-point attempts per game over their past five (27). That’s too much daylight against a steady shooter like Atkins.
She’s splashed two triples in both meetings with the Mercury this season and cleared her prop mark in three of her last five games.
With volume and history on her side, betting Atkins to knock down at least two from distance is a solid play.

DeWanna Bonner Over 1.5 made threes
DeWanna Bonner's 3-point prop offers sneaky value tonight when Phoenix meets Chicago.
The veteran wing averages 1.3 makes from deep on more than four attempts per game, and her floor-spacing role remains critical off the Mercury bench.
Chicago’s perimeter defense is giving up 11 made threes per game on 42% shooting across their last five contests.
Bonner has hit at least two triples in eight of 18 games this season, and with her steady 25-minute workload, the volume should be there again.
Against a Sky defense struggling to contest the arc, Bonner is in a terrific matchup to rain down at least a couple of threes at home against Chicago.
