The WNBA returns tonight after the Indiana Fever cruised to Commissioner’s Cup glory on Tuesday, and this five-game slate serves up more must-see matchups.

As I sifted through the plethora of WNBA player props, I came across three gems that offer up plenty of value.

Find out why the likes of Alyssa Thomas, Kelsey Plum, and Brittney Sykes made the shortlist of WNBA picks for Thursday, July 3.

WNBA player prop bets for July 3

  • Sparks Alyssa Thomas o13.5 points (-102)
  • Sparks Kelsey Plum o18.5 points (-110)
  • Sparks Brittney Sykes o7.5 reb+ast (-128)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Alyssa Thomas Over 13.5 points (-102 at FanDuel)

The Phoenix Mercury have won four in a row on the road, and Alyssa Thomas’ fingerprints have been all over that strong run. Look for that to continue tonight against the Dallas Wings.

Though she’s a reluctant scorer at times, this 13.5 O/U line is simply too low for the do-it-all veteran. Thomas has gone past that number in five of her last six outings, including 16 points on 5-for-10 shooting against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday.

Thomas is on pace for a career-best field goal percentage this year – 54% through 12 games – while averaging 14.8 PPG, and this is a favorable matchup given the Wings allow 84.4 PPG, fourth-most in the league.

There are other mouths to feed in this Phoenix offense, starting with Kahleah Copper and Satou Sabally, but look for Thomas to walk into some easy buckets here as an offensive rebounder.

Kelsey Plum Over 18.5 points (-110 at FanDuel)

The Los Angeles Sparks ended June on a 1-5 skid, but a new month is a chance to turn the page. That said, the formula should remain the same for L.A., with Kelsey Plum at the center of the offense.

Plum is only shooting 38% from the field this season, but she’s taken 16+ shots in four of her past five contests, reaching the 20-point mark each time. I’m buying into that volume with the Over on this line of 18.5 as the Sparks battle the New York Liberty tonight.

Last season’s sample size supports that pick. Plum went past this number in four of her six playoff games against New York in 2024 while playing for the Las Vegas Aces, as well as two of the teams’ three regular-season matchups.

The Liberty have had some shaky defensive outings lately, leaking 106 points to the Phoenix Mercury last Friday and 90 points to the Atlanta Dream at the weekend, and Plum should be able to get into the paint if her jumper isn’t falling.

Brittney Sykes Over 7.5 rebounds + assists (-128 at FanDuel)

There’s a strong case for the Over here. Let’s start with Brittney Sykes’ season averages of 4.0 RPG and 4.8 APG, which make this 7.5 line slightly surprising. She continues to do a little of everything for the Washington Mystics while keeping the team in the playoff hunt at 8-9.

Though the Mystics could be on the end of a Minnesota Lynx backlash tonight after their Commissioner’s Cup final loss earlier in the week, I still see Sykes putting up steady stats. She’s nailed this Over in eight of her past 12 contests, and her playmaking has been particularly reliable with 5+ dimes in five of her last seven games.

I’m staying away from Sykes’ rollercoaster scoring — she’s averaging 18.6 PPG in 2025 but has logged single-digit points in four of her last eight outings — and counting on her to lead the way with assists and rebounds. Some of her best performances have come on the road this year, and Sykes won’t back down from the challenge tonight against the WNBA’s No.1 seed.
