Sunday’s WNBA slate features three intriguing matchups, and with it comes a buffet of player prop opportunities.
After digging through the WNBA odds, I’ve found three plus-money player props expecting Sonia Citron, Veronica Burton, and Kayla McBride to shine.
Read on for my WNBA picks for Sunday, August 24.
WNBA player prop bets for August 24
Sonia Citron o1.5 threes (+118)
Veronica Burton o1.5 threes (+120)
Kayla McBride o2.5 threes (+110)
Sonia Citron Over 1.5 threes
Washington Mystics rookie guard Sonia Citron has quietly become a perimeter weapon, knocking down nearly two of her 4.2 attempts from deep per game.
Citron also ramped up her volume since Brittney Sykes was traded to the Seattle Storm, taking more than her season average in four of her last five contests.
The Seattle Storm owns a tough three-point defense, holding opponents to just under seven makes on 23 attempts over their past five outings.
Still, Washington’s ball movement with 21 assists per game during that span should free up Citron for quality looks.
With two or more made threes in five of her last six games, the rookie is a good bet to cash from deep again today.

Veronica Burton Over 1.5 threes
Golden State Valkyries guard Veronica Burton is enjoying a breakout season from beyond the arc, shooting a career-best 38% on four attempts per game.
She’s averaging 29 minutes per night and has consistently logged 30-plus minutes recently, giving her ample time to let it fly from deep.
That volume should serve her well against a struggling Dallas Wings perimeter defense.
Dallas has allowed a league-worst 11 made threes per game on a blistering 43% shooting clip across its last five contests, ranking as the softest long-range matchup in the WNBA.
Burton has drained at least two triples in three of her past five games, making her a solid bet to cash again today.

Kayla McBride Over 2.5 threes
The Minnesota Lynx are expected to welcome back WNBA MVP frontrunner Napheesa Collier after a lengthy absence, and no one will be happier than teammate Kayla McBride.
Collier stretches defenses and passes willingly out of double-teams, often finding her former Fenerbahçe running mate on the perimeter.
McBride connects on nearly three of seven attempts from downtown and meets an Indiana Fever defense allowing almost nine made threes per game on 38% shooting over its last five contests.
With at least three triples in three of her past five games, McBride is a solid plus-money betting option to cash from long range again tonight.
