The star power is off the charts in tonight's clash between the Las Vegas Aces and Los Angeles Sparks, and prop picks for Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray are among today's best bets.

The Las Vegas Aces’ title defense is off to a strong start, and their glamor matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks headlines the Saturday slate.

My top WNBA player props include a big night for former Las Vegas star Kelsey Plum, who enters with a point to prove, plus a busy day in the paint for the Chicago Sky’s Kamilla Cardoso.

Read on for my favorite WNBA picks ahead of the May 23 action.

Kamilla Cardoso Double-Double (-120)

Amid a flurry of cruel Chicago Sky injuries, Kamilla Cardoso is keeping the team afloat. A 24-11-5 stat line in the midweek loss to the Dallas Wings was her latest relentless effort, and I’m buying into an encore performance today.

The double-double jumps off the board, with Cardoso averaging 14.4 PPG and 10.4 RPG this year, and the Sky are still shorthanded, even with Azura Stevens set to return here.

Plus, they’re facing a Minnesota Lynx squad that’s dealing with absences of its own. Napheesa Collier is one of four forwards on the Minnesota injury report, and that opens the door for Cardoso to own the paint.

Kelsey Plum Over 20.5 points (-105)

Kelsey Plum faces her former teammates tonight and, even after winning two titles in Sin City, there has to be a sting at seeing the Las Vegas Aces win the championship without her last year.

That makes the Over an attractive play on the Plum points prop as the Los Angeles Sparks’ No.1 option. She’s averaging 24.6 PPG this season, while cruising past this O/U number in four of her five outings, and I’d happily bet the Over up to 22.5 here.

Plum is making her 3-pointers at a 41% clip, and she should have more breathing room on the perimeter with the Sparks back to full strength.

Chelsea Gray Over 1.5 3-pointers (-130)

With the Aces scoring 98+ points in three of their past four games, it's no surprise that Chelsea Gray has settled into a rhythm.

A career 38% 3-point shooter, Gray has begun the year on a tear from downtown, making 13 of her 21 triple attempts during the defending champs' four-game win streak. She's nailed this Over in three of those outings, and I'm expecting more of the same in tonight's clash with the Sparks.

Teammates Jackie Young and Jewell Loyd have both struggled with their jump shots in the opening weeks, so it's a nice luxury for Las Vegas to be able to lean more heavily on Gray as a No. 2 option next to A'ja Wilson.
