WNBA bottom feeders a year ago, the upstart Dallas Wings will look for a third straight win when they visit the Atlanta Dream.

My Wings vs. Dream predictions have Dallas at least keeping things close tonight, despite Rhyne Howard (concussion) checking back into the Atlanta lineup.

Read on for my free WNBA picks for Friday, May 22.

Wings vs Dream prediction

Wings vs Dream best bet: Wings +6.5 (-120)

The Atlanta Dream beat the Dallas Wings 77-72 earlier this year. That’s the Wings’ lowest scoring output all season, and it’s an early outlier.

Dallas ranks third in the WNBA in scoring (91.2 points per game), including a top-rated mark from 3-point range (36.9%).

Even with Rhyne Howard coming back, Atlanta is still down four-time all-star Brionna Jones (knee), who’s yet to suit up this season.

Roster flux is a big reason why the Dream’s first three games have been decided by five points or less, and why I’m taking Dallas and those six points.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Since dropping a season-low 15 points vs. the Dream, Paige Bueckers has been outstanding in three games since, averaging 23.0 points on a crisp 56.8% shooting, with 3.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists.

Wings vs Dream same-game parlay

It’s been a sizzling start for Paige Bueckers from 3-point range, where she’s currently hitting at a scorching 57.9% clip. She’s hit at least two triples in three of the five games this year, missing the other Over by a 3-point make in the other two games.

Angel Reese is cleaning glass in her new digs, averaging 12.7 rebounds, and she pulled down a season-best 16 in the first meeting. She’s averaging 11.4 rebounds in seven games against Dallas in her career, including an 18-rebound game.

Wings vs Dream SGP

  • Wings +6
  • Paige Bueckers Over 1.5 threes
  • Angel Reese Over 12.5 rebounds

Wings vs Dream first basket scorer: Angel Reese (+500)

The Dream have only scored the opening bucket once in their three games, and it was Reese, who did it against these same Wings. I’ll stay on that trend.

If you want a little more juice, Bueckers has done it twice for the Wings this season (+600).
