With four games on the slate in the WNBA tonight, three of the league's best teams take the court as clear favorites: the Indiana Fever, the New York Liberty, and the Las Vegas Aces.
Led by Caitlin Clark, my WNBA moneyline picks believe the Fever are poised to win big on the road against a struggling Toronto Tempo defense, which is why Indiana leads off the best WNBA picks for Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Expert WNBA moneyline picks for August 18
Fever vs Tempo pick: Fever
The Toronto Tempo have been in a slump, and even with Brittney Sykes probable to play tonight, Sandy Brondello's team is going to have a tough time keeping up with the Indiana Fever.
Indiana has been arguably the best team in the WNBA over the last month, winning nine of its last 11 games, including four straight. Its offense has been unstoppable, ranking No. 1 in rating (114.9) and effective field-goal percentage (56%), and our Fever vs. Tempo prediction projects the Fever's stars to stay hot.
The Tempo have lost 14 of their last 15, including 10 straight, and have the worst defensive rating in the WNBA (115.5).
Sparks vs Sun pick: Sun
Though this game features two of the worst teams in the WNBA, it has a chance to be the most competitive game tonight. While the Los Angeles Sparks are the favorite, they've been abysmal since Kelsey Plum's injury, and trading her hasn't made them any better.
Since Plum last suited up for the Sparks, L.A. is 4-14 and just 2-11 since mid-July. The Sparks have slipped to second-last in the W in defensive rating (112.3), and without Plum, the offense hasn't been able to make up for the defensive woes.
The Connecticut Sun aren't much better, but they have won six of their last 16 games and rank Top 4 in both rim rate (32.9%) and 3-point rate allowed (35.5%), making them a tough matchup for the Sparks.
Liberty vs Sky pick: Liberty
After a sporadic start to the season, the New York Liberty are playing like a WNBA championship odds favorite again. They've won nine of their last 11 games, with both losses coming on the road to top-notch teams, the Fever and Las Vegas Aces.
The Chicago Sky are far from a top team, having lost four of their last six games. Chicago's offensive inconsistencies will hurt them against the high-powered Liberty.
The Sky are Bottom 5 in the WNBA in offensive rating (105.0) and true shooting percentage (54.5%), while the Liberty are Top 5 in both (111.7 offensive rating, 59.1% true shooting percentage).
Dream vs Aces pick: Aces
Another year, another dominant season from A'ja Wilson has her as the runaway WNBA MVP odds favorite. Wilson is an unstoppable force that not even the Atlanta Dream are equipped to slow down.
The four-time MVP leads the league in PPG (26.1), PER (31.9), win shares (7.0), blocks per game (2.0), and usage rate (33%). With Wilson carrying the load, the Aces are No. 3 in the W in offensive rating (112.1).
The Dream are just 9-7 on the road this season and have lost both their matchups against the Aces.
