Mercury vs Storm Predictions, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s WNBA Game

Satou Sabally has slotted in nicely for the Phoenix Mercury in her first year in the desert. As Quinn Allen explains, her scoring run is sustainable, at least for one more game.

The Phoenix Mercury will be looking to stay unbeaten in this young WNBA season as they visit the Seattle Storm tonight at Climate Pledge Arena.

Satou Sabally has been balling out early on, and my Mercury vs. Storm predictions will explain why that could continue in this contest.

Mercury vs Storm predictions

My Mercury vs Storm best bet: Satou Sabally Over 22.5 points (+110 at Caesars)

The Phoenix Mercury are 2-0 so far, and Satou Sabally is a big reason for it. The 27-year-old is averaging 26 ppg through two games, dropping 27 against the Seattle Storm last week before scoring 25 versus the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday evening in another victory. Sabally is scoring at will, and nobody has been able to stop her dominance.

The offseason acquisition from the Dallas Wings has stepped into a larger role with Phoenix, and she’s evidently thriving. Sabally averaged 17.9 points per night in 2024 with Dallas, and while averaging 25+ per contest for this entire season is unlikely, it’s clear that Sabally is finding her best in new surroundings. She’s been the Mercury’s top option.

Her usage rate this year is already at 36.4%. Sabally is the star Phoenix needs, and Seattle isn’t exactly anything to write home about defensively. She already torched them last week and will be feeling confident heading into another matchup against the Storm.

Mercury vs Storm same-game parlay (SGP)

Satou Sabally Over 22.5 points

Skyler Diggins Over 18.5 points

Mercury moneyline

Skylar Diggins joined the Storm on a two-year deal in 2024, and she’s proving her worth. The WNBA veteran is averaging 21 ppg through the first two contests of the campaign, cashing the Over in points in both. She posted 21 points against the Mercury last week before dropping another 21 in a victory over the Wings on Monday evening.

Just like Sabally, Diggins is off to an electrifying start. While she averaged around 14 ppg against her former team last season, I’m riding Diggins’ hot hand at the moment. A revenge game always brings a different sense of motivation, too. She’ll bring her best tonight.

Despite smashing Seattle by 24 points last Saturday, the Mercury are a heavy 6-point underdog tonight. This feels like an obvious opportunity to cash in. Phoenix hasn’t lost yet and has won two of its last four meetings with the Storm.

Yes, Seattle is 7-3 in their last 10 matchups against the Mercury, but Sabally and Co. are looking like a different team right now. It wouldn’t surprise me if they grabbed another victory and improved to 3-0.
