It’s Take 2 of the 2024 WNBA Finals rematch as the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx visit the defending champion New York Liberty.

The plot twist in this edition is the major star power missing on both sides, with MVP favorite Napheesa Collier (ankle) out for Minny and Liberty forward Breanna Stewart (knee) missing a seventh straight game for New York.

Our Lynx vs. Liberty predictions and WNBA picks have the league’s best road team taking care of business on Sunday, August 10.

Lynx vs Liberty predictions

My Lynx vs Liberty best bet: Lynx moneyline (+155 at bet365)

So far, so good for the Minnesota Lynx without Napheesa Collier. Minnesota has pulled off close back-to-back wins over Seattle, and most recently edged Washington 80-76.

The Lynx have now reeled off wins in eight of their last nine and come into Barclays Center leading the WNBA in both scoring (87.1 points) and points allowed (75.8). At 10-4, they’re also the only team in the league to touch double-digit wins on the road.

The New York Liberty have found their footing with three wins in a row, after a season-worst four-game slide that included a 100-93 loss to these Lynx.

However, they’ve done it against the WNBA’s bottom-feeders, dumping the last-place Connecticut Sun, along with back-to-back wins over the 12th-place Dallas Wings.

The Sun and the Wings are also teams that beat New York during its slide. The only other teams they’ve faced in this stretch are Minnesota and L.A., and they allowed 100+ points in each.

The level-up New York will see Sunday will be noticeable. Even without Collier, Minnesota shows off its depth and grind out another win.

Lynx vs Liberty same-game parlay (SGP)

Lynx moneyline

DiJonai Carrington Over 10.5 points

Sabrina Ionescu Under 19.5 points

It's slightly surprising that Lynx guard DiJonai Carrington has a 10.5-point scoring line Sunday, but we’ll gladly take the Over.

Since coming over from the Wings, she’s cruised past this total in both games, part of the scoring trio with Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams picking up the offensive load with Collier out.

Sabrina Ionescu has been New York’s de facto top scoring option with Stewart out, but she’s struggled of late, scoring just 25 points in the last two games on a rough 28% shooting from the field.

She did light up the Lynx for 31 on July 30, but Ionescu is catching the league’s top defense at the wrong time.
