In another rematch of last season’s Finals, the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx face off at Target Center in Saturday’s standalone contest.
My WNBA picks and Liberty vs. Lynx predictions target two combo props in what should be a high-scoring matchup.
Liberty vs Lynx predictions
My Liberty vs Lynx best bet: Emma Meesseman Over 23.5 points + rebounds + assists (-122 at FanDuel)
Since making her season debut on August 2, Emma Meesseman has appeared in six games, and she’s wasted no time in putting up strong numbers. Over those six games, Meesseman has averaged 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists, good for a 26.2 PRAs.
Meesseman came up short of her combo line against Minnesota in her first matchup with the Lynx, going for 20 PRA, but that game was played at home, and she’s been more productive on the road. Meesseman has averaged just 19 PRA at home compared to 29.9 on the road.
She’s hit the Over on this line in two straight and three of four overall, and she’s reached that mark in three straight on the road.
Breanna Stewart will be out again, and with Isabelle Harrison and Nyara Sabally both on the mend, Meesseman should see plenty of run in the New York Liberty’s frontcourt.
Liberty vs Lynx same-game parlay (SGP)
Emma Meesseman Over 23.5 points + rebounds + assists
Courtney Williams Over 26.5 points + rebounds + assists
Over 165.5
Courtney Williams has been great this season, averaging 25.1 PRA while operating as primary playmaker for the Minnesota Lynx and scoring effectively along the way.
Over the last 14, she’s averaged 27.2 PRA and hit the Over on this line eight times. Williams has picked it up as a scorer across her last three with Napheesa Collier out, averaging 16 points to go with 3.7 rebounds and 5.3 dimes.
She posted 26 and 28 PRAs in two matchups with New York, and I expect her to hit the Over today.
New York has hit the Over in just 12 of 33 games this season, but Minnesota has done so in 19. The Lynx have hit the Over in seven of the last 10 overall, and they’ve posted at least 166 points in three of their last four at home.
New York has hit the Over in three of the last five on the road, and they’ve hit a game total of at least 165 points in five of their last seven on the road.
