The Dallas Wings got off to a rough start to the 2025 campaign, but as emerging superstar Paige Bueckers begins to find her rhythm at the professional level, the Wings should continue to find success. The team has won three of its last four games and covered in four of its last five. The Indiana Fever have lost three of its last four and covered only once in its last five games.
Winning Friday’s matchup with the surging Wings won’t get any easier with Caitlin Clark out of action. The Fever are 2-4 straight up with Clark on the sideline this season. Indiana is only -1 across those games, but the point differential is significantly bolstered by a 27-point victory over the Chicago Sky.
Over the last four games’ opposite trajectories, Indiana ranks ninth in offensive rating, 10th in defensive rating and 10th in net rating. Dallas ranks 11th in offensive rating, but the Wings have put the clamps on and rank second in defensive rating in that span.
WNBA fans will unfortunately miss out on the matchup between last year’s No. 1 pick and Rookie of the Year and this year’s top pick and runaway favorite to win ROY. Clark and Bueckers famously dueled in the 2024 Final Four in which Clark’s Hawkeyes took down Bueckers’ Huskies in a thrilling affair that came down to the final moments.
Rather than a star-studded matchup, the spotlight will be Bueckers’ alone tonight, and I expect her to lead Dallas to victory.

Bueckers had an off night in her last game out, and her PRA line has come down from 28.5 to 27.5 for even money. She went for 12/5/4 against the Dream, snapping a streak of 20-point performances at three games.
I’m not worried about that showing, as Bueckers has proven how electric she can be as a scorer, facilitator and rebounder. A mediocre performance against a strong Atlanta defense doesn’t elicit any hesitation in this pick.
Even with that 12/5/4 line factored in, Bueckers has averaged 20.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists across her last six games, good for 30.2 PRA. She’s hit the Over in four of those, and I’m counting on a bounceback performance tonight as Dallas looks to secure another win before a long break and a matchup with the Phoenix Mercury on July 3.
