The Las Vegas Aces’ title window seems to be closing in a hurry, and their opponents today, the Indiana Fever, are one of the reasons for that.
Las Vegas has lost five of its last six games, and my Fever vs. Aces predictions call for a statement Indiana performance in this national TV slot, with Caitlin Clark at the heart of the action. Take a closer look at this June 22 clash with my WNBA picks below.
Fever vs Aces predictions
My Fever vs Aces best bet: Fever moneyline (-115 at FanDuel)
Throw out the Indiana Fever’s 6-6 record. At full strength, this is one of the WNBA’s premier teams — and it would be no surprise to see Indiana go on a winning run over the next few weeks to put some pressure on the runaway league leaders. That starts with this afternoon’s clash against the out-of-sorts Las Vegas Aces.
Best of all, the Fever offense is alive and kicking with Caitlin Clark back on the court, and it’s been noticeable that Kelsey Mitchell and Natasha Howard are walking into cleaner looks with No. 22 drawing a crowd.
Last weekend’s 102-88 victory over the Liberty laid down a marker, and I’m taking the Indiana moneyline this afternoon despite the Aces winning the last 10 meetings. That run ends today.
Things aren’t clicking for Las Vegas on either end of the floor this season. The Aces are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 contests, and they’re coming off a dispiriting 90-83 loss against the Storm earlier this week in which they were outscored 52-38 in the second half.
That made it three straight home losses for Becky Hammon’s team. Meanwhile, the Fever are 2-1 since Clark returned from injury.
DeWanna Bonner’s continued absence will make life tougher as Indiana tries to contain A’ja Wilson in the paint. Still, I’m trusting the Fever’s solid 36% 3-point shooting — third-best in the league — to be the difference today.
Caitlin Clark pick: Full steam ahead
My best bet
Caitlin Clark Over 29.5 points + assists (-120 FanDuel)
My analysis
Clark put on an unforgettable show in last weekend’s national TV spotlight, with 32 points and nine assists to hand the Liberty their first loss of 2025. I’m not counting on a repeat of that masterpiece, but I still love the Over on 29.5 points + assists today in a matchup that should require a heavy workload.
It starts with Clark’s playmaking. She’s racked up 9+ assists in five of her past seven outings, and that spells trouble for a Las Vegas defense that’s allowed 83+ points four times already this month.
Clark’s shooting has blown hot and cold this year, but pencil her in for at least 15 field goal attempts and nine 3-point tries. She went a combined 11-for-20 from downtown in victories over the Liberty and Sun before a 0-for-7 clunker from beyond the arc on Thursday.
Though Clark struggled at times against the Aces in her rookie season, I see her bringing her A-game to T-Mobile Arena and nailing this combo Over.
Fever vs Aces same-game parlay (SGP)
I’ve loaded up on a Clark-fueled Fever win, but don’t count on the Aces rolling over. The Jewell Loyd Over 14.5 points prop was a winner for me against the Storm on Friday, and I’m grabbing the Over on the regular 12.5 O/U line today.
This has been a tough year for Loyd after leaving Seattle, but she’s averaging better than 16 PPG across her past four contests and may just be turning a corner as a secondary scorer for Las Vegas.
The Aces certainly need that offensive spark to relieve the burden on Wilson, and Loyd has put together four straight outings with double-digit field goal attempts. This prop feels too low if we see even a B+ version of the Las Vegas guard this afternoon.
