It’s been a testing year for the 8-22 Dallas Wings, and a visit from Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty could add to their woes tonight.
New York outlasted Dallas for an 85-76 victory at Barclays Center earlier this week, and my Liberty vs Wings predictions eye a similar score in this rematch, especially with the defending champs still missing Breanna Stewart’s offensive punch.

Liberty vs Wings predictions
My Liberty vs Wings best bet: Under 173.5 (-110 at FanDuel)
A total line of 173.5 feels hefty based on what we’ve seen lately from these two squads. The New York Liberty have cashed the Under in three straight outings, and that’s also been a winning ticket in four of the past six meetings between these teams.
The Dallas Wings shot just 37% from the field against this Liberty defense on Tuesday, including 6-for-27 from downtown, and New York’s own high ceiling hasn’t looked quite as reliable, as we saw in its 62-point effort against the lowly Connecticut Sun last week.
With some injury concerns hovering over both teams, and the size of Jonquel Jones and Emma Meesseman looming in the paint whenever Dallas ventures there, I’m banking on some cold stretches – in line with earlier this week, where the Wings scored 15 points in the first quarter and held the Liberty to 13 in the second.
There are also plenty of question marks about the hosts’ scoring options beyond Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale. So, while laying the points with New York is a tempting strategy, the Under is the value pick tonight.
Paige Bueckers pick: Bueckers limited by back issue
My Paige Bueckers best bet: Under 17.5 points (-113 at FanDuel)
Bueckers is expected to play tonight despite a back issue, but it’s fair to wonder what kind of limitations she’ll face, particularly with New York sure to ramp up the perimeter pressure and put that injury under the microscope.
Paige has put together four straight games with 20+ points, but I see that streak coming to an end here, and I’m fading her points prop at a 17.5 number.
With Ogunbowale in another shooting funk, look for the Liberty to be bolder about sending extra help to corral Bueckers. That could translate to tougher looks with more forced 3-pointers – and she’s only making her triples at a 33% clip this year anyway.
This prop pick also ties into my Under best bet. The Wings were held to just 35 points in the first half on Tuesday, with Bueckers contributing seven, and New York’s Leonie Fiebich did a solid job with the primary assignment on her that night.

Jonquel Jones double-double
If this matchup follows the scrappy script I’ve laid out, Jonquel Jones will be New York's X-factor – and I’m adding the plus odds for a JJ double-double to bolster my SGP.
Jones finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes against the Wings on Tuesday, and she’s averaged 16.5 PPG in her eight outings since returning from injury.
