After falling to the Golden State Valkyries 77-66 on Wednesday, the Atlanta Dream return to Chase Center on Friday looking to even up the season series.

Atlanta is far better than what it showed against Golden State, and my Dream vs. Valkyries predictions expect the visiting team to avenge its last loss and get back in the win column with an improved performance.

Read on in my WNBA picks for a breakdown of why I’m betting Atlanta to win this one outright as Angel Reese dominates a low-scoring affair at Ballhalla.

Dream vs Valkyries prediction

Dream vs Valkyries best bet: Dream Moneyline (-115)

The Atlanta Dream finished with a season-low 66 points in Wednesday’s loss to the Golden State Valkyries, shooting just 39% from the field, knocking down only 4-of-18 shots from beyond the arc, and finishing 12-of-22 from the charity stripe.

Atlanta won the turnover and rebound battles and comfortably beat the Valkyries in fast-break points and PITP. Positive efficiency gains can get them back in business.

The Dream shoot 44.3% as a team and average 8.9 made threes per game, so even Golden State’s strong defense won’t keep them stifled for two straight contests.

Covers COVERS INTEL:  The Dream sport the second-best Offensive Rating in the WNBA at 111.3, just behind the Las Vegas Aces’ 111.4.

Dream vs Valkyries same-game parlay

Both teams rank in the Top 4 in Defensive Rating, Top 3 in fewest points allowed, and Bottom 6 in pace. Across the last three H2H matchups, the Dream and Valkyries combined to average just 145.6. In a matchup of premier defenses, I’ll bet the Under down to 160.5.

Angel Reese is one of just 10 players in the WNBA averaging 10+ PITP. Golden State is surrendering just 31.6 PITP on the season, but over the last four games, they’ve given up 39.5. I’ll play this one up to 14.5.

Dream vs Valkyries SGP

  • Dream Moneyline
  • Under 162.5
  • Angel Reese Over 13.5 points

Dream vs Valkyries player prop pick

Angel Reese Over 11.5 rebounds (-130)

Reese has averaged 13 rebounds per game on the road compared to just 10.4 at home, setting her up nicely to grab 12+ rebounds for a second straight game at Chase Center.

Golden State has improved its team rebounding, but the Valkyries’ 40.9 missed FGA per game lead the WNBA. Reese is in line for a strong volume of rebounding opportunities, and Golden State’s bigs can shoot, so they’re not packed in the paint to fight Reese for them.

I’m happy betting this line up to 12.5 for +120 odds.
